“Great place, on an amazing island”

My girlfriend won a one-week, half-board stay at the Regency Club, so we were excited to embark on this island adventure. Although part of the deal was to attend a timeshare sales pitch, there was no pressure whatsoever in making us buy. The Regency Club has a good choice of rooms and meals, and the spa is a delight. We have only good words to say about Regency Club, and about Tenerife as such - an amazing island, with an excellent value for money.

“be careful when reserving”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We had booked a week at Regency Club through Ambasadorowie, Wiśniowy Business Park, ul. Iłżecka 26, 02-135 Warszawa, which organizes vacations for businessmen. We landed at the southern airport and there was nobody to greet us and take us to the hotel. We were told by the agent that someone will pick us up. At the reception the 2 indifferent girls at the counter (one of them of Polish origin but absolutely unhelpful to people from her country) told us that the room is not in the main REGENCY CLUB rather in worse properties called NEPTUNE 150 meters down the road. They simply told us to contact the agency AMBASADOROWIE in Warsaw who made the reservation. We called the agency in Warsaw but they insisted that the it is the decision of the REGENCY CLUB in Adeje and we should discuss with them. We got nowhere with this 'football game'. We were also told that the room will be ready after 3 pm and we were to simply sit around or do anything else till the room is ready. With 2 small children, it was not easy to do 'anything else'. After we were given the room we sort-of liked it and got used to it. Nothing to write home about. Simple 2 room apartment with a balcony facing the sea. Bed for 2 and a extendable sofa for the children. We had to kill big coakroaches everyday but otherwise the stay went by without much fuss.
If you are deciding to go to REGENCY CLUB ensure that it is very clear that you want to stay at the REGENCY property which is much better than NEPTUNE. The internet works only around the lobby area. The restaurant electricity outlets do not work and the staff will not take any interest to make them work. The waiters are indifferent but otherwise seemingly helpful. Children are not allowed in the jacuzzi (I dont know why).
We were pleasantly surprised when on the last day, after check out which is at 11am we had to spend the day by the pool and we were given a room to shower and change after that. The room was clean and had towels. This was a nice surprise to be treated well for a change.

Room Tip: ask for regency club premises only !

“Fantastic place!”

Me and my husband (30 and 31) are just back from a week at the Regency Club in Costa Adeje and have to say that we had a fantastic time.

When we arrived, we were met by an English representative, Mick, who talked us through check in, showed us around and even took us up to our apartment and showed us everything in there. The girls at reception are all lovely, as is the man who is there at night.

The apartments inside were perfect - we had a one bedroom apartment which had two single beds in a decent sized room, a big bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living area with a decent sized balcony.

We didn't eat in the restaurant but saw that plenty of people did.

The pool area is fantastic - we were at the pool most days. There is a pool bar which does limited food and drink but it is enough. The gardens around the pool were also lovely, as was the "chill out area". This is without a doubt one of the nicest pool areas we've been too.

There is a supermarket next to reception which stocks most items - if you want more then there is a bigger supermarket about a 5 minute walk down the hill.

The apartments are up a hill but we walked up and down to the main drag every day - yes it was tiring but so is walking most places in the sun! For those who can't walk, there is a free bus put on by the resort or a taxi only costs about 3 euros.

We liked that the apartments were a bit out of the way - meant it was quiet and peaceful.

We would definitely go back to these apartments - even if we had a family as it was perfect.

“good hotel”

We had a great holiday here through RCI, our apartment had a view of the sea and pool which was great, food in restaurant was good, we were family of 4 adults and managed well for sleeping with double room and folding bed in lounge. We had a nice balcony with table and chairs to dine outside. Would go there again

Room Tip: Rooms with view of sea and pool from balcony had good sun, on second floor it was quiet

“Lovely place”

We majorly enjoyed our time at the regency club. The pool was great, the food was relatively cheap, and the entertainment was entertaining! Sure, it was a bit noisy if your room is right out to the pool, but it never stopped later than 12, so it wasn’t bothering us much. The entertainment during the day was also good, and kids were kept occupied with darts, pool, ping pong, water aerobics and exotic animals.

The staff at the reception was great at English, the staff in the restaurant… well… not so much. The bakery was the best thing ever! Always freshly baked and so so good.

The only slightly annoying thing was all the construction work. It was noisy during the day, and every night they washed it in something that made it stink horribly.

The rooms were fine in size, and the bathroom was very pretty. The kitchen had all the necessary things, however a dishwasher would’ve been a nice addition. The balcony was very big and sunny, and there was free wifi everywhere from the restaurant to the pool to the room. Very good.
