On arrival we were checked in quickly and despatched to our room. The room was a good size and spotless, we had a patio with sun shade the usual table and chairs, the only downside to this was it was on the roadside and in the morning deliveries were being made to all the nearby restaraunts, there was a massive solarium and also pool with bar,but as is usual in most places, the sunbeds were covered in towels early in the morning (not just Germans either) otherwise a very nice stay.

This "self catering" apartment was the worst equiped we have ever stayed in - no teaspoons, egg cups, corkscrew etc. TV, kettle, iron, hairdryer etc were not included - you had to hire these at hefty prices from reception.
Our room was on the sub ground floor ie the terrace was 2m below the pavement and then there was a 2m fence above. It was like being inmates in a zoo as passers by looked in and/or shouted comments. We asked to be moved before we unpacked but we were told the hotel was full and we had to stay in this room for 2 nights. 2 days later we were told we still could not be moved for another 2 nights. Eventually we moved to a decent apartment for our final 3 nights. I asked to see the manager to ask for a discount. He refused to see me and told the receptionist to tell me that all rooms were the same price.

Having stayed at many hotels and apartments in Tenerife, the location of the Sol Sun Beach is hard to beat. I booked it late, just 4 days before going and i travelled with my two teenage children. The actual reception area and the rooms are a little dated but clean. The pool is great with ample sunbathing areas. We used the restaurant for breakfast on 3 occasions but found it poor value for money. the food was OK though. We had a studio apartment which was quite large and perfectly adequate for our needs. The ceiling fans were innefficient but they always are. Basically if you want the perfect location with a great pool but you dont mind an older room and dated facilities then this is a great place to go. It wasnt cheap in July , location, location, location i suppose.

Just got back and had a lovely stay, studio apartment was fab but did have to change rooms as first one allocated was in the A block which is basically down in the basement and terrace faces out onto main promenade so felt like a fish in a bowl with everyone walking past and no security although by time we were leaving they were putting a high fence on the balcony. Reception were great and moved us to B block next day which was fab.
Location is perfect, close to food, drink, beach and everything you could possibly want for a holiday.
Would definitely go back again
