“Relaxing and peaceful holiday”

We were looking for a break somewhere warm in the winter and settled on this hotel.

It is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The setting is peaceful. The buidings have been well designed to take advantage of a hilly outcrop just west of the main south coast resorts. The staff were efficient, cheery and helpful.

There were three large swimming pools, one of them heated. There seemed to be ample supply of sunbeds and no early morning towel reservations needed.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the food provided had plenty of variety. The 'local wines' were not palatable to us but the other drinks on offer were suitable.

If you are looking for an 'all day English breakfast', lager, nightly disco, fish 'n chips resort please go elsewhere and leave this hotel to those who enjoy the relaxation provided here. A trip to the main resort areas can be taken on a service bus quite easily.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms face South (ending in odd numbers) looking over lovely gardens. The rooms facing...

“Exceptional standard and lovely staff”

We were recommended by friends and it was really exceptional. We're late 50's early 60s and like our food and wine as well as our comfort. This group does it all.

Staff very friendly and efficient.

Lovely mix of nationalities and good choice of restaurants and social events.

The gym is pretty basic and not well maintained - but who goes on holiday to stay in the gym!!

Room Tip: Probably best to have higher level room as you can then have the pool view and the sea view together...

“Excellent Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We have just returned from our 6th holiday at the Bahia Pincipe. Once again it could not be faulted. From arrival to depart the staff were very good. The reception could not do more. The staff in the restaurants were always very friendly and helpfull. The chamber maid did a very good job of our room. The grounds are kept spotless at all times. The food again was excellent with as much as you want, also the drinks kept coming as long as you wanted. The hotel is remote, but that is why we go, as we want a chill out after the christmas period, and spend the time at the pool reading or sleeping. We have been Jan/Feb most times and have never been disappointed with the weather. When we arrived we were allocated a suite at the bottom of the resort 7003. To be honest the room was verry good, but we preffer to be nearer the main building. I asked if we could be moved and this was done the next day, without any problems. All we had to do was pack up the cases again, and they did the rest..
Exellent holiday destination. Superb resort. We will be back again.

“5 star holiday 3-4 star rooms.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Stayed end of January for 2 weeks. Booked with Thomas Cook who were fine. All flights were on time and we were given a free pass into Manchester Exec Lounge. Transfer to/from the hotel also on time. Didn't originally get the requested Pool View but Mila at reception sorted this out within 2 days. Some may prefer the quieter rear rooms but the views generally are not as nice. Restaurants: Mexican and Asian have the best atmosphere, both are in the nearby Bahia Tenerife Hotel (200 yd walk). The main restaurant Mirador can be a bit: crash, bang, wallop as the staff work their socks off making up and clearing tables. Eating outside is more relaxing. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well stocked but more 3-4 star than 5 star. If you need a cuppa in the morning take your travel kettle there isn't one in the room. All Inclusive deal is 5 star and to be honest I do not know how they make a profit. Couple of asides; i parked the car at Manchester Airport T1 main car park for £55 through www.holidayextras.co.uk which was super convenient and undercover. There are some nice trails around the hotel if you like to run/walk. Would go again.

“Better than expected!”

First visit. We were booked in the smaller hotel (Bahia principe) but were told by Thos Cook a few days before that the hotel was oversubscibed, and so we were booked into the Costa Adeje. We kicked up a bit of a fuss and so Thos Cook put in a request for a seaview - we also were given a small refund.
Our room was lovely - very large and right on the front overlooking the infinity pool - wonderful.
The hotel can be lively around the central pool area where they have occasional bouts of acqua gym and so on, when they play music quite loudly. Fortunately we were away from this and it was lovely and peaceful where we were.
Food was of good quality - especially in the specialist restaurants which you could eat in up to three times during the week. Wine was fair -- the red was very good but the white a bit iffy.
Entertainment was fair but we didn't go for that.
Bus service to the local town is rubbish - we took a taxi (shared with others), but only went once as there is not too much of interest in the more touristy areas.
All in all a great holiday - wish we had booked 10 nights instead of seven!

Room Tip: Choose a seaview in a quiet location - be aware that the hotel is built on a steep hillside!
