“The Absolute Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2011

I cannot say enough good things about these apartments. Everyting was top notch; the cleanliness, service, friendly & helpful staff. Located about a 20minute walk from Nerja centre the apartments are in a quite cul de sac. Some of the bigger apartments have their own pool. There is an indoor & outdoor pool available. The best part about this stay for us was the fact there was a washing machine. A real luxury as we were restricted to hand luggage only due to the airport strike. Super sol (supermarket) is a 5 minute walk away. Rooms were serviced every day. There is a garage for parking, but along the street worked just fine. On the last day we could not pay the supplement to stay on an extra few hours as the apartment had incoming guests. However the receptionist kept our luggage for the day and also let us have showers, supplied with towels before we left for the airport. I cannot recommend our experience highly enough.

“Absolutely Fantastic”

What can I say but fantastic place. We had one of the 3 bedroomed villas with private pool, pool was a bit small but the villa was just beautiful. It had every conceivable gadget in the kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and countless pots and pans and all villas and apartments were air conditioned. This was a necessity, especially as the week we were there the temperature was about 38 everyday and the evenings not much cooler! Everything was immaculately clean and the whole site was beautifully maintained. I would definately go back again. Very impressed with it all and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Supermarket is about 5 mins walk away and the town is about a 15-20 min walk, bit of a hill to walk up but we found another way back which brings you out past the supermarket. The cleaners came round every 3 days (as we were told they would when we checked in). The only thing they don't seen to be keen on is late check-out. Our flight was not until 9pm and they chuck you out of your villa at 11am, so we had all day to just wander around. The receptionist said they were fully booked for that day so we couldn't have late check-out but when we checked at 4pm at least 4 apartments were empty? Not sure what that was all about.

“Excellent, Family friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 April 2010

We stayed at thiis hotel over the Easter break, we had the 3 bedroom villa with the private pool.

The accomodation was excellent the villa was a great size with three large bedrooms and an a sofa bed in the lounge. The private pool was small, but not realy an issue at that time of year. The villas surround a courtyard area which was great for a allowing the kids to play, while knowing they couldn't stray too far.

The location is fine, you are in walking distance to a good supermarket and only a few minutes from the beach, although it is a steep climb to get back to the hotel.

Overal I would definately recommend this place and would certainly go back.

Great accomodation for famillies.

“Delightful complex”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2009

Stayed here for 3 nights booked through Totally Spain. Complex is clean, well maintained, and kitchen equipment was extensive and in brand new condition. Outdoor pool was sparkling if a little chilly, and sufficient sun loungers and grassy areas to relax on. I was a little concenred at security issues raised by another reviewer, but reception is staffed 0800-2200, and there are electronic locks and CCTV everywhere. If you are seriously concerned, you can lock windows and use aircon, though we didn't. Only down side was that we did not have a car, and walk back up from beach is reasonably steep and 15 mins in the heat, or a taxi for 7 euros. There is a supermarket within 5 mins walk for groceries, and buses to Nerja town which again is a decent walk otherwise. Staff were without exception friendly and helpful, and would definitely recommend especially if you have a car.

“Not Safe!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2008

We stayed in one of these beautiful condos, it had its own private pool, and was so lovely. Unfortunately, our stay was a nightmare. Previously we had been in Marbella, where our condos were completely barred, with what seemed like over-the-top security. Then we arrived at Marina Turquesa, and there were no bars on the windows, a low wall that could easily be scaled, and no bar preventing patio bars from being forced open.

We were broken into in the middle of the night during our first night's stay. The thief came upstairs, and stole things from right beside the bed while we slept. Having just checked in, we hadn't tried to use the phone yet, but as it turned out, they hadn't turned our phone on. We also didn't realize, this hotel has NO 24 hour reception or security. So there was no one at the hotel to help us in the middle of the night when we discovered the break-in. We went to another condo for help, and they discovered that they had also been broken into.

When we called the emergency number for the hotel, we were told to go to the police, who were not remotely helpful, but came out, hands on guns telling us to leave & come back in the morning. In the morning, the hotel staff who arrived had not even been informed of the break-in. In fact, the hotel staff did not believe us. They said it was impossible to break-in to a sliding glass door (!), unless the glass was shattered. They said that both us, and our neighbour must have left our doors open!! (We checked all the locks before bed.) They would only believe us if they could verify on one of their 3 security cameras that there had been a break-in. Since the complex is made up of many condos facing numerous directions, it seems unlikely that a camera was trained directly onto our back yard. When we left the hotel, they were still watching security tapes, so I don't know if they eventually found anything.

Receiving no help from the hotel other than a 2 euro coin to access the internet and (finally!) access to a phone that worked, we packed up and left several days early. We received no money back on the prepaid trip. We did not feel safe, and the hotel expressed neither surprise nor regret at our experience. Rather, they seemed to doubt and blame us, despite the fact that we were not the only ones broken into.

If you stay here, be sure that your phone is turned on before the office closes for the day. We also had to ask to have the heat and hot water turned on.
