“Maybe the last time?”

We stayed here from 21 to 30 August 2007. This was my fourth visit to these apartments and I still think that they offer excellent value for money. There are six apartments in all, two are studios for two people, two are one bedroomed for two+ people, and two are two bedroomed for four people.
Room 501is two bedroom with balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 502 is a studio with small balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 503 is two bedroom with balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 504/505 are in fact combined into a larger two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and small balcony overlooking the street. All of these rooms are on the first floor and are accessed from a main front door on the street. To access the pool area you need to go back out to the street and re-enter through the garage door.
Room 506 is a poolside studio with small terrace.
Room 507 is two bedroom with larger poolside terrace, and is detached from the main building.
Both of these rooms are accessed through the garage. Room 506 may have a slight odour of fuel at times, being next to the garage, where the owners car is usually parked.
We have stayed in rooms 501, 503 and 507. Our daughter has stayed in room 504/505.
They are all good value for money, and with the small pool area offer a quiet privacy not easy to obtain so close to town. Since they were renovated in 2004 I feel that the apartments have begun to look just a little 'tired'. Nothing major, but small things like doors not closing very well, a broken shutter, missing crockery etc. The owner lives in the centre of the main building, and keeps the garden in excellent condition.
We love these apartments and would go back again, however we understand that the owner is as yet undecided about letting the apartments out next year. Obviously at the time of writing I am unable to be certain about this, perhaps she is just changing agent or something. Anyway if this bit proves untrue please disregard and accept my apology. As arrangements stood we always picked up the apartment keys from Hostel Ana in the next street, this was never a problem, although parking a car if you have one is not easy!
We have stayed at the apartments when children are in the school playground next door, and at times they can be heard shouting as they play games. On the other side is the cultural centre, from which music can occasionally be heard. We did not find either of these to be a major concern.
So all in all we would go back for a fifth visit, but maybe we will have to find an alternative if the owner is not accepting bookings for 2008!

  • Liked — Very close to town, with restaurants etc.
  • Disliked — Car parking is not easy.

what a fab place clean and well maintained apartments we stayed in a one bed it was fab spacious and everything you need a front load washing machine iron and board kettle toaster microwave excellent facilities beautiful gardens and small pool.just like having your own place in the sun for 2 weeks.perfect for couples who want a quiet hols or couples with infants not suitable for older children above five years.would go again for sure. the apartments are two mins from balcon de europa and near to bars and many resturants perfect position for all beaches just a short walk to burriana beech, try the front fish resturants there a must. everything about nerja is great if you like to taste a bit of real spain .good bus service to places round and about.we had a fantastic holiday everything was perfect. the only thing that went wrong was we had booked a hotel in malaga for one night during our first week to go and sight see for the day and have a night out in malaga but when we went to check into hotel they would not let us stay because we had left our passports at the apartments in nerja so remember if you go to another place for a few days take your passport it never crossed my mind that i would need anything other than my confirmation for hotel.

  • Liked — clean well maintained great location
  • Disliked — nothing
  • Tips/Secrets — always take your passport when checking into a hotel

“Excellent apartrments in a lovely town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2006

Nerja is a lovely town which is still very Spanish even though a lot of English people live there or go there on holiday. The apartments are clean and comfortable and the location is excellent - just a five minute walk to the Balcon de Europa and the nearest beaches. The swim pool and garden are really lovely and so well cared for. We had the area to ourselves each time we used it.
We didn't want to hire a car for this holiday, and instead spent the money on a taxi from Malaga. It was a good move - the taxi driver took us straight to the door of the apartments, and handed us an envelope containing the keys and all the information needed. It was nice to start a holiday hassle free!
And yes - we'd certainly go again!

  • Liked — A lovely apartment in an excellent location.
  • Disliked — No faults, but next time I'd go for a larger one.

“Lovely central apartments”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2006

Stayed here recently and found the apartments very pleasant indeed. They are well equipped and being in the centre of Nerja very handy for all shops and restaurants. Being so central there is a little ambient noise from the nearby school and theatre, but we did not find it distracted us from the enjoyment of our holiday at all.
The property has a good standard of cleanliness and upkeep, with very helpful and friendly staff, however with no distraction of daily cleaners, you will be expected to do your own cleaning and bedmaking unless you stay more than a week, in which case the linen and towels are changed after the first week. There is also a washing machine in the apartment.
Note if you book transfers that the key is collected at Hostel Ana, in the next street, the apartments are actually located on Calle Granada.
All in all, it is a very good choice for a holiday, expecially if you want to be central. Recommended.
