We stayed here from 21 to 30 August 2007. This was my fourth visit to these apartments and I still think that they offer excellent value for money. There are six apartments in all, two are studios for two people, two are one bedroomed for two+ people, and two are two bedroomed for four people.
Room 501is two bedroom with balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 502 is a studio with small balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 503 is two bedroom with balcony overlooking the pool.
Room 504/505 are in fact combined into a larger two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and small balcony overlooking the street. All of these rooms are on the first floor and are accessed from a main front door on the street. To access the pool area you need to go back out to the street and re-enter through the garage door.
Room 506 is a poolside studio with small terrace.
Room 507 is two bedroom with larger poolside terrace, and is detached from the main building.
Both of these rooms are accessed through the garage. Room 506 may have a slight odour of fuel at times, being next to the garage, where the owners car is usually parked.
We have stayed in rooms 501, 503 and 507. Our daughter has stayed in room 504/505.
They are all good value for money, and with the small pool area offer a quiet privacy not easy to obtain so close to town. Since they were renovated in 2004 I feel that the apartments have begun to look just a little 'tired'. Nothing major, but small things like doors not closing very well, a broken shutter, missing crockery etc. The owner lives in the centre of the main building, and keeps the garden in excellent condition.
We love these apartments and would go back again, however we understand that the owner is as yet undecided about letting the apartments out next year. Obviously at the time of writing I am unable to be certain about this, perhaps she is just changing agent or something. Anyway if this bit proves untrue please disregard and accept my apology. As arrangements stood we always picked up the apartment keys from Hostel Ana in the next street, this was never a problem, although parking a car if you have one is not easy!
We have stayed at the apartments when children are in the school playground next door, and at times they can be heard shouting as they play games. On the other side is the cultural centre, from which music can occasionally be heard. We did not find either of these to be a major concern.
So all in all we would go back for a fifth visit, but maybe we will have to find an alternative if the owner is not accepting bookings for 2008!
