“A very solid establishment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

This place was quite a pleasant surprise. It may not look like much from the outside, but the interior is actually cavernous, complete with glass lift, and we were given a huge and very comfortable room. The service was very courteous indeed and the Spanish breakfast provided a good start to the day.

For the low price I think it fair to say we were expecting something far less agreeable (we were really just passing through). All in all this is a very good option in Jaen unless you are trying to impress someone/want to splurge by staying at the Parador on the hill. That is your decision.

“Good, comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2007

We stayed here for a conference in July of 2007. It was a good, comfortable hotel not directly in the city center but a long walk or a short bus ride away. It had very easy access to the highways, but was quiet and near the University, which is a nice little neighborhood with many options for eating and drinking. It's also close to the bus and train stations.

The staff aren't always incredibly helpful, but it has a parking garage (for an extra fee), and free internet access. The pool is a great place to cool off on hot days, but don't even bother looking at the exercise room. It consisted of a broken treadmill, 1 broken and 1 sort of working exercise bike, and a universal machine, and it was part of the hot parking garage--no real ventilation. It's a bit pricey, but it is very comfortable and convenient. The hairdryers didn't really work either, but the rooms are a good size, clean and the air conditioning works!

  • Liked — Location, internet access and cleanliness of room
  • Disliked — Broken hair dryer, useless exercise room

“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2006

On our recent trip to Spain we made an unplanned overnight stop in Jaen without having reservations. The Europa, which was recommended by the guidebooks, was full and had really rude staff. So we took a chance and stayed overnight at the Infantina Cristina, which looked OK from the outside and was right off the main road in Jaen. I wasn't expecting much since we didn't know anything about this place. But the staff was very, very nice (considering we checked in at midnight). The hotel was very clean, beautifully furnished and and the rates were very reasonable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

“A nice place to stay”

We had a reservation at the Europa for 73 Euros, but we didn't like the room so the man at the Europa told us we should go the the Parador or Hotel Infantina Cristina. The Parador is located outside of town, and we didn't have a car, so we opted for the Infantina Cristina, which is a short bus or taxi ride from city center.

The hotel has a beautiful marble clad lobby, the rooms have all the comforts of a good four-star hotel, and the rate was little more than at the place we didn't want to stay (85 Euros).

We also had a most delicious 15 Euro "menu" in the dining room which included a bottle of wine and all sorts of little extras.

This is a very nice place. It was located near the Avis office where we picked up our car, but it was not in the very center of the down town area.
