“Not the location we wanted, but tidy hotel with pleasant staff”

We stayed here in April 2011, with our 2 year old son. The apartments are good value, and tidy. Mainly they are clean, although we did notice that the area under the beds wasn't cleaned, and we seemed to have some cockroaches living under our fridge which came out at night! We also had an ant issue when my son spilt some juice, but this was quickly dealt with. We were specifically looking for a two bedroom apartment and its fair to say not many hotels provide this at such a reasonable price. My only issue is the proximity (or lack of) to the beach and restaturants. The beach and main restaurant area is at least a twenty minute walk away across a busy roundabout, (and more with a toddler!), which is not what we expected given the name of the hotel. The shopping centre next door is great, but we didn't want to cook ourselves, or eat in the shopping centre itself for every meal. Apparently we had the worst weather for around 50 years the week we were there, so we were not able to use the pool area at all, but it does look lovely. There is also a bar with some pool tables in it, which might be nice in peak season with a few more people, but most evenings it was just the three of us! This hotel is probably a good base if you are planning to do a lot of trips as both the taxi rank and buses are across the road at the shopping centre. Overall I would say that if you are happy to cook yourself or eat in the hotel most evenings, then this is a good choice. If you are planning to eat out most evenings, you would be better off closer to the beach.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool. They are quieter as away from the road, and in the evening the...

“Good accommodation but lacking in soul”

The apartments were well appointed but unfortunately not very well situated if you want to feel you are in Spain. Certainly the local amenities are good but do I really want a cinema and Shopping centre next door to me? The view for our balcony was good but then again this was spoilt by the main road below me - I certainly didn't feel I wanted to sit on it (the balcony not the road) in my bikini.

Great pool area spoilt be the noise of building works next door.

Nice cafe near the pool but never tried the restaurant so cannot comment.

Would not return but more because I prefer a village type setting.

“Great Value = Great Holiday!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

We stayed here from 8th November for a week, 2 adults and 2 children (12 and 10) - on arrival we checked in quickly and found our room and were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and the whole room was very spacious. Bit gutted that we arrived late at night and nothing was open nearby for a few supplies so spent a fortune on the Coke Machine for something for the kids to drink until morning! Huge Shopping Mall smaller version of the "Trafford Centre" and Eroski (Shopping Centre) right across the road which was great (but closed ALL DAY on a Sunday) 6 beers for 1.50 euro!! Pool looked great, although the weather was still warm and we were sunbathing the kids jumped in to the pool and found it to be extremely cold!! Needless to say we didnt use it much but plenty of sunbeds and I suppose if the weather was a lot better and the pool was warmer it would be better, there was a basketball court and a tennis court next to the pool which kept the kids busy and also a really large arcade area and computers to use the internet (1 euro for 10 mins) so great for that. Was quite a trek at night to a restaurant if we didnt fancy cooking - chinese buffet right next door was lovely but we walked for a half hour to find something to eat which was a pain. The Shopping Centre has food courts but only if you are into Subway, Pizza and KFC! Our room had a castle view which meant we had the sun all through the day until sunrise which was great.
Only downside for us was at night time when we had a few tipples on the balcony we had to watch a tramp harassing people all night and watching him look through bins, he also collared us one evening going out of the Supermarket mithering asking for money, the kids were quite scared of him!! All in all would definitely recommend this Hotel and would definitely come again!! We also hopped on the train from Malaga Airport to Fuengirola which took @ 20 mins then a taxi to the Hotel 6 Euros instead of expensive taxis/transfers, the train is a great way of getting round the Costa Del Sol.

Room Tip: Choose a Castle View in the colder months - you get the sun all day.
