“Was Ok, Staff made it better, don't know if We'd go back”

We booked this as a very last minute holiday so just took what was on offer. The hotel is situated right next to the local Police station, hence there is very little noise. It's very near to the zoo and the shops are within 100 metres. The Beach is about the same distance away. We went half board which we never have done before due to my partners dietry needs, but they pretty much catered for most tastes(great if you like fish). The pool does need a good scrub but wasn't too dirty, The poolside area is kept well maintained and was very quiet during the week. The weekends were a lot busier and we found that other couples were "reserving" the sunbeds then going out for a walk. These towels were just removed and put tidily at the side if there were no other beds available. The rooms were quiet spacious and serviced every day. The aircon worked but was very noisy until you gave it a clump. I found the staff to be very helpful, although they seem to be doing many different jobs within in the hotel, so perhaps a litlle understaffed. Whilst staying here we did hear that they are trying to encourage more British visitors to the hotel. I feel that they are heading the right way but could do better. Overall it was a cheap, last minute holiday so we didn't expect too much and we wasn't dissappointed. Think i would have been had it been our main holiday of the year.

  • Liked — The staff tried to be very helpful

“Lovely hotel, food, staff and not a bad location!!!”

Booked our holiday on travel supermarket and we loved it. Hassle free! Friendly staff, who all spoke excellent English and having to tidy away our own dinner was not quite a staff shortage in my book, and if you just left they would do it for you anyway! 100m from the beach and near to a few supermarkets, the zoo and castle. We were halfboard, food was ok, buffet style for breakfast and dinner. Usually a few things you would like, deserts a bit lacking though. Rooms are nice, well decorated, clean and most with balconies, not much of a view though, not that you really need one. Pool was lovely, quite a small hotel comparatively so you could always get a sun lounger. Gets busy at weekends with Spanish visitors, otherwise mostly British guests, a few French and Dutch. Mix of couples, families and old folk but everyone was courteous and friendly. Bar by the pool and drinks at dinner were quite expensive but no more than you'd expect. However, I did find a caterpillar in a plum (didnt eat it!) so be careful with the fruit as it had been washed but probably just a bad plum!? Thoroughly enjoyed it, should probably be a 4* hotel if it had mini-bars and all the other unnecessary luxuries! Hope you have as much fun as we did.

  • Liked — pool and zoo
  • Disliked — caterpillar in plum

“Seroius Staff Shortages”

We had stayed here about 3 years ago and the differences were very apparent. One waitress in the dining room where it was expected for people to clear the tables themselves. The food was okay in the main. The toaster was out of action for 2 days and the rolls were generally not fresh. The rooms were cleaned daily and the linen changed very frequently but there was a big patch of mould on the bedroom wall, the table lamp didn't work and the table and chairs on the balcony were strangers to a cloth. The staff were nice and friendly. We asked for a wake-up call on our last morning as we were leaving early. The receptionist wrote it down but on the morning it didn't happen. Luckily the clock worked or we would have missed our flight.
We wouldn't go there again as it was a disappointment after our first visit.

“It was ok”

In my opinion the food was not so good, especially dinners. But the room was nice and clean.

just returned from this hotel after celebrating my birthday with 6 of my friends. We wasn't really expecting much as it on cost £20 per night but what a shock we got, it is really nice great rooms although we got a main road rooms it was a bit noisy but it was, early morning when we was getting to our beds.
the pool was lovely and clean , the food is ok breakfast is enough but the evening meal wasn't up to much but at this price eating out is cheap anyway.
Would definatley go again
