I wanted to review this fabulous Parador but then read previous comments which actually say it all. We had a stop over here on the way to Portugal and it surpassed our expectations. We had an excellent evening meal and though it was quiet due to low season we were treated as
honoured guests and the food was excellent.
We were going to leave off one mark for no wi fi only to be told on check out that it is available in the whole hotel. Our fault for not asking on checkin though to be fair it is not
advertised anywhere in the room.

A well hidden side of the hill Parador with views to the north over the plains of Spain allowing winter sunshine to penetrade the panoramic windows in the dining room. The modern design fits beautifully into the landscape allowing for ease of access by car and foot being only a 10 minute stroll from the centre of the town. Rooms were generously proportioned with extremely comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning (warm on cold winter days), quiet locations around gardens, and excellent sound proofing from other rooms. Bathroom good design with good circulations space and a novel glazing to the bedroom wall. Breakfast buffet superb and evening dinner equally good with unusual regional dishes; good selection of wines at Parador prices. Staff very helpful, friendly and discreet. Well worth a divertion and an ideal base for touring Andalucia. An added bonus is that Antequera is a Spanish white walled town in a superb location with interesting churches on every corner, a real Alcazar, and a working bull ring.

We booked late and got a really good deal and then we arrived at the hotel to find it so lovely and quiet and stylish. Helpful staff, good internet service, nice views and just the right distance from the town, a 10 minute stroll past the bull ring. Loved the glass screens in the room's bathroom. We had dinner in the hotel - the local menu - which was OK but we wished we'd gone for the a la carte. The breakfast was good. We would have liked a kettle in the room but staff were happy to provide us with pots of hot water so we made tea in the room. Oh and dressing gowns weren't provided. But apart from that it was perfect!

We stayed 2 night in this fabulous hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is nice, modern, the rooms are large, have a nice view.
The swimming pool is really pleasant and so is the staff of the hotel. Breakfast buffet is fantastic !
To summarize : go there next time you're in Andalucia !
