The rooms are very dated. Very little hot water was available. The carpet turned my socks black. The falls and fixtures were very worn some were cosmetically broken. The up side was their catering is very good and the food was well prepared. Too bad the rooms have much to be desired.

The location is great but the hotel is up for sale -- and things have slipped. The lobby area smelled very musty. The air conditioning in the bar/restaurant didn't work, and according to the wait staff (one person) it hadn't worked for a while -- and this in August! In the morning it took me 10 minutes to find someone to check me out.

The carpet's quite worn in the halls and the hallway walls aren't clean. The room was fine but nothing memorable - aged, but maintained.

All in all, I'd skip staying here for a while.

This multistory hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, lovely shops, music venues and the main Campus of the University of Arkansas. There is a small pool, and nice bar and restaurant. The key to this gem is its location. Parking is in a covered garage next door. The staff is knowledgeable on the local attractions - which include Saturday Farmers' and Craft market, eclectic shopping in unique shops, coffee shops, and international cuisine in restuarants around the square that is just a block from the hotel. The lobby is old-world reminisent of residential hotel, with large and comfortable furniture. A new developer has aquired the hotel and will be doing extensive pdates.

This is an old fashion hotel, with the lobby reminding me of something from years past. Staff is fine and helpful. Restaurant on the second floor OK. Several ethnic restaurants with in a one block walk.
Fitness center has limited equipment and is very small.
