“One nighter, great sleep!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Stayed here just before Christmas after a late flight into Dublin. It is literally 5 to 8 minutes from car hire pickup to the hotel. Checkin quick easy no issue. Room was simple but a super comfortable bed. Very clean. We had a good sleep, then went to the restaurant for breakfast. Had a full Irish, wife had coffee and muffin, total price was less than 15euro. Bargain.
Room cost 29euro online,

Would certainly stay here again.

“Awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The reception was very rude asking us to keep the noise down before getting our keys, the bathroom bin was not changed and smelt terrible , the third bed was actually a pull out bed under a couch which had stains and was very close to the carpet which did not look like it was cleaned in months . I would rather sleep in my car next time . Stains on the walls and bed . Lights did not work . A couple that booked with us had to change rooms because the room smelled like a pregnant wet dog and when asking the staff to change room they were very rude and could not care . Never again

“Watch out for the hens!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My best friend and I had already stayed at this hotel the previous weekend and decided to stay our last night in Dublin back at this hotel because it is so close to the airport. Be sure to ask the front desk to give you a room away from any "hen party" (or a bridal party). Our room was across the hall from a very outrageous hen party that got noiser during the night. We were in the non-smoking section but these ladies were in the hallway smoking. We got very little sleep and left the hotel at 5 am and saw police raiding the party. Please note that you will get a cheaper rate by booking this hotel through the Internet than asking for a discount at the front desk.

Room Tip: This is not a hotel I would recommend for anyone traveling with small children. Ask for a room on t...

I was upset to hear you did not get a good night sleep as there was some noise on the night that you stay with us last. I can assure you that this is an isolated incident and we have since put in place a quite zone in the hotel for guest that may not be going out just using the hotel of an over night.

If you are back in Ireland again please do give us the opportunity to allow us show you the improvements we have made.

Again I thank you for your comments and look forward to welcoming you again soon.

“GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel last jan with the prices being so cheap, it was a last minute thing also as we found extremelly cheap flights with ryan air from newcastle so could not grumble at price. Hotel is big we stayed in a clean room did smell of smoke, so unsure if it was a smoking room, didnt realy bother us though, as seeing Dublin and the sourding areas was just amazing. We didnt go to the ajoining bar next door, however did go into Swords quite a few times. Is so cheap from airport to this hotel so thats what attracted us, however if i went again iwould prob splash out a bit more cash and stay in the city centre as the price it cost us in taxis and buses to and from the centre cost more than the small break away! Swords is easy walking distance and we had a great time all and all! nice little hotel!

“bit grubby but good value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Stayed here in December as we were heading to a night in the Wright Venue around the corner... paid €35 for a triple smoking room. I would have prefered if we had been told one of the beds was actually a pull out couch bed as we may have just booked 2 doubles but it served its purpose. While the rooms themselves were fine and plenty of clean linen, the bathroom was not very clean and could do with a proper scrub.

For anyone going to the wright venue you should note that while its probably just about 8 mins walk its 8 mins up hill so wouldnt suit girls in heels! we just hoped in a taxi instead. The premier inn seemed to be the closest to the wright venue. There is a restaurant in the hotel that I think was open till 10 the night we stayed although we didnt try anything outselves. There are vending machines in the reception.

On arrival we were asked if we were going out and were told we had to provide some form of ID (although a credit card/laser card was also accepted.) this was then scanned and we were told that we must produce the same id/card when we came back to ensure we were actually staying there.. make sure you dont forget it or loose it on the night else you might end up sleeping in the car park.

Think we would try somewhere else the next time although we would stay here again.

Many thanks for your review and thank you for taking the time to write your suggestions.

In relation to your comments I have taken on board all you have said and will be sure to look into the standard of the bathroom. Could I ask that you contact me on my personal email chris.osullivan@travelodge.ie so as I can look at the room you stayed in.

In relation to the ID we ask for this as a security to ensure we know who is coming and going from the hotel at all times. But can assure you if you did loose it then we would not make you sleep in the car park.

I do hope you will stay with us again and see the improvements we have made.
