This is a nice clean hotel, if getting a little worn around the edges. The only drawback is the restaurant is not always open. Pub food is available which is perfectly acceptable.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for the first time for three nights over the weekend of the 11th-14th. Nov. Never in Carrigaline before but can state that the staff there were very helpful. We were given a room that was confortable, had wifi which was free, tea and coffee making facilities and even though there was a wedding on both the Friday and Saturday nights we did not wake up or hear any noise during the night. We had dinner in the Bistro on Saturday night and there was a gem of a waitress serving us from Poland. Even though the dinningroom was busy she was attentive to all diners in her area including us. She performed her duties with a smile and was really helpful. One thing the hotel could do is advertise that brilliant walk to Crosshaven about 7 km along the estuary shoreline on the old railway. On the reception was a lady Gillian who like all the staff could not be more helpful. We had a billiant weekend and will be back next year. Management at this hotel should note that there front line staff are excellent ambassadors for this hotel. Only one complaint...the music..my god make us feel a little at ease with some light soothing music perhaps classical. Not rocking stuff we had during dinner that said they gave us Andrea Bocelli for breakfast on Monday morning.

We have eaten in the bar 2 times this year, we went the second time to see if maybe it was us and not the bar. Guess what...?It is the bar!

First time I had soup and a cheese sandwich. The soup was a disgusting mix of the previous day's pub meal vegetables. Cheese sandwich was on cold bread(they don't have a way to toast the bread)with butter and a thimble size of dried up "salad" on the side. I would have been embarrassed to let this out of the kitchen.

My friend had the laughable steak sandwich.With what meat you could find on it was old and very tough!!

The service is VERY slow as there are not enough waitstaff, and they have very bad attitudes. The drinks were just slammed on the table!

We went a second time for pub lunch. I will keep it short! The food was horrible and the person serving it acted as though she was doing us a favor.

Will never go there again!This ruined us for even thinking about trying their Bistro.

This place only survives because there is not much else in Carrigaline. I would be embarrassed to have my family own this hotel!

We had a Christening celebration at this hotel in September 2011. Everything about the hotel was excellent, from the quality of the food to the level of service and it was great value. I would highly recommend it as a venue for any occasion.
