“Nice price nice location but very poor stay”

Very good location but the hotel needs urgently innovation.the room was very small and wasn't clean and smell a lot at the begging and after a good clean from our part the smell went away.the personnel is very kind and the breakfast was quite good for the hotel.for the price we paid we didn't expect much but hopped at least it would be clean.

“Never come here again!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Good position in Kalambaka, free parking, good WI-FI. Only the young lady at the Reception Desk was a professional, good English speaking and very helpful.
Her colleague - an impertinent guy - suggested us to book rooms at Hilton, when we asked for the remote control of the TV set, which did not have even the button to turn it on and also asked about the refrigerator (as we had paid the price for a room with fridge), no glasses, only 1 chair, 1 night table in a triple room, coat hangers made of rusty wire, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, stinking room. A/C looking as if it had been in fire some time before. No courtain at the shower cabin, old rusty taps, dirty glass for the tooth brush, no hair dryer, 2 (instead of 3) dirty chairs, no table on the balcony. Poor breakfast. NOT A 3 STARS HOTEL, NOT EVEN ECONOMIC CLASS! A shame among the greek hotels (all the others hotels I have stayed in Greece were very good). Odyseeon Hotel is the worst experience we have ever lived in a hotel! It was the nightmare of our holiday. A piece of advice: Never go to Odysseon Hotel! (also taking into account the behaviour of the man in the Reception who lives from the money the tourists pay!). There are many other good hotels in Kalambaka.

Minus
- Some of the smallest rooms I ever stayed

“Nice hotel, close to cliffs/Kastraki”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

Good value for money. Hotel Odysseon is much closer to the cliffs/rocks/monasteries than most other options, although it is not as close to the bus stop at the main square. It is also close to the village of Kastraki.

The buffet breakfast is pretty decent -- scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, croissants, jam, yogurt, honey (for the yogurt), fruit, coffee/tea/milk, orange juice, and cereal.

The staff was also very helpful with travel information and spoke good English.

Main drawback is that there were flies -- maybe 5 or 6 of them -- trapped in my room when I checked in. It was a hassle trying to get rid of them.

“Don't be misled by the photos...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

....because they look better than what you'll get!
We book 2 garden and mountain view rooms. One of the rooms has very small, had no frige, no functioning AC, and more of a tree view, than mountain. The bathroom is quite ugly, old tiles, no curtain, no place to put your shower gel. Although clean, the sheet had 2 nut sized holes on it. There were no tables on the balcony, but 2 old, ugly chairs and an army of ants. The yellow garden chairs were torn apart. A lot of noise on the hallway, you could hear every door closing. The staff was really helpful. We stayed there for only one night, so I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Ask only for Meteora view rooms!
