This is, I think, the best of the "three-stars hotels" I stayed at. By the time of our visit it had been just recently refurbished, so it was spotless. Big rooms with wooden finishing, even the ceilings. Excellently comfortable. The man at the reception (an owner?) spoke fluent English, served us an excellent breakfast. The hotel is situated right at the central square of Kalavrita. This village (or town?) is said to be used for winter sports. Situated at the central square, the hotel immediately neighbours the cathedral of Kalavrita, so the tolling of the bell might wake you up. Kalavrita is very clean. At the central street the pavement is made to depict a "railroad", very beautiful. Back to the hotel Anesis, I really cannot think of any reproach regarding it. At the reception we were honestly warned that hot water would become hot in two minutes, as the boiler needs this time to warm it. And it was so, in two minutes the water became hot. Cold water is cold, as it should be. The TV shows maybe 30 channels. We chose this hotel out of the two or three other ones at the same place, around the central square, because we did not like central air conditioning in the other ones and preferred individual air conditioner in the room in this hotel. Excellent, simply excellent hotel, nothing more I can say. At the not too high season, it cost us only 80 euro. This is not cheap, but, let's be frank, not too expensive either.
