“Our Second Wedding Anniversery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

When we arrived at the Cresent Hotel we were very pleased to see a one-hundred and twenty-five year old building in all its glory with all its amenities intact.
Then we were asigned a busman by the name of John who took extremely good care of us, it was almost as if he was running the entire hotel himself by making sure we had everything our hearts desired, he truly took his job of pleasing us personally!
Our stay was definitely a night we will remember the rest of our lives!

Room Tip: get a balcony facing the east

Me and my husband just got done staying at the crescent and even though I didn't sleep because I was so freaked out it was awesome. We went on the ghost tour it was awesome could of swore someone said my name down in the morgue. We stayed in room 301 no much went on but the that while my husband was sleeping he was making the weirdest sounds talking about some women named Theodore.weird huh.as I said in didn't sleep. I did her someone banging on the wall in the room next to us but nobody was staying in there at the time. Anyways all in all the hotel is amazing we will be returning hopefully not time we will get one of the haunted rooms so I can see something.

Thank you for your review. We are very much know as a haunted hotel and looks like it lived up to its name one more time. Theadora is said to one of our ghost that lives on the fourth floor. Please ask the front desk when you make your next reservation about staying in a more "Active" room next time and I am sure they will be happy to accomidate your request if available . Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit.

“Great Experience- Fun Christmas Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Great three day getaway in a quaint, out of the way place over a holiday. Fun Historic Hotel of America in an interesting location for something to do in the winter- especially in that it is less than an hour to the new Crystal Bridges Art Muesum in Bentonville everyone was talking about. For the holidays there were special brunches and buffets included in our room rate that were very nicely done- regardless of our "rustic" server who was foremost concerned with what we "saved" so we could tip adequately. Property was 5 years from its last major renovation and was quite nice and servicable- and it probably shows better when not in the dead of winter. If you value charm over perfection- it was well worth the experience. Unlike others' ratings- TV worked flawlessly, as did the gratis wi-fi- important on Christmas day when everything in town is closed.

No matter what discount you think you are getting online- call the dest and ask for the best deal. Seems things are very flexible rate-wise and the desk can work with what they have and make things work for you cheaper than anyone else can. I didn't believe that until I checked in and was set straight and proven wrong.

If you want to come to this location, this is the place to stay. You can trust your GPS (mostly) to get you there. Lots of interesting stores and brief stops with interesting things-- but don't miss the museum mentioned above- its why we came in the first place- and why we will be beack.

Room Tip: Ask for a king veranda room on the corner-- higher the better. Ask how the heat works. Ask for a...

Thank you for your review. We are also very excited about the addition of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and hope to work closely with them in all they do. The drive is easy, beautiful, and a strait shot to the destination. GPS can be confusing due to the fact that Eureka Springs does not have one 90 degree intersection but still easy to get around. Glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit, maybe during our next holiday buffet. (which we have for every holiday) Glad that you were able to find deals at the front desk as well, we do strive to accomidate that.

“Crescent stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The Crescent Hotel is a wonderful antiquated hotel nestled on top of a mountaintop overlooking a historic district. Below is how I rate each category and why:

Staff: Great - Friendly and helpful to the customers

Room: Fair - Old but inviting. TV did not work as many of the channels on the tube television rarely had a signal. Most was static. Some other rooms had a flat screen and crystal clear reception.

Ghost Tour - Good - The tour seemed to be read from a script. No Ghosts seen but had a good amount of orbes.

Breakfast in restaurant - The guy making the eggs was the most receptive. Breakfast was good. Sausage was cold. Recommend heating the food in the warmers.

It was a pleasant stay overall.

Thank you for your detailed review. Thank you for coming to stay with us. The Crescent Hotel experienced a lightning strike in early December and it has effected somethings throughout the hotel including many television sets. The correct steps are being taken to improve this situation and we are sorry for an inconvenience this may have caused you. We have had some new hires in the Ghost Tour department due to the popularity it has gotten sorry for any inconvenience and we are hoping practice makes perfect. Look forward to seeing you on your next stay.

“One Night Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My husband and I needed a quick getaway after the Holidays this year. We decided on Eureka Springs and chose to stay at the 1886 Crescent Hotel. Our room was excellent. We were one of only two rooms in the wing and it was very peaceful. The room was more than I imagined with a huge king size bed, jacuzzi and a sitting area with a couch and chair. The only thing I would recommend is a vending machine with a few snacks. We checked in at 2pm and did not leave until the next morning. We forgot to take some snacks with us and it would have been nice to have something to munch on after dinner. Instead, we ordered a delicious piece of chocolate cake from the Crystal Dining room and took it back to the room with us. We spoiled ourselves with a massage in the spa. Needless to say, we were very relaxed and asleep that evening by 9:30. The hotel was beautiful with the Christmas decor and we walked around outside to look at all the Christmas trees. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: Request one of the rooms off the main hall way, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet.

Thank you for your review and suggestions for the hotel. The vending machine has been noted and will be carried further in the future. I am glad you enjoyed the annex suites and we look forward to seeing you on your next stay.
