“My luggage still reeks of smoke”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We requested a non-smoking room, but was told all that was available was a smoking room. Upon entering the room it was unbearable. It was like 3 smokers had hibernated in that room for the past 3 days. My eyes were literally burning and breathing was difficult. Also, the deadbolt on the door was broken and wouldn't lock. This we were told was the "new" building. We had stayed a previous year in another building up the hill and were very pleased. Avoid this "new" building in the back!!!!

Room Tip: Avoid the smoking rooms and the building in the back!!!!

Just 7 of our 122 rooms are smoking-permitted rooms; therefore it is very unusual to have a reservation that requested non-smoking to be assigned to a smoking room. We regret that you were faced with this situation. Our housekeepers attempt to clean the smoking-permitted rooms as though they are for non-smokers as our guests who smoke also appreciate a fresh smelling room.
Maintenance carries on a constant preventative routine to insure all locks and security devices are kept in working order. On occasion a problem surfaces and it is always appreciated when a guest advises us of a problem in order to get the repair made immediately.

“Stay in your car or over going to this place!”

Called in to ensure we had late check-in, they didn't even ask for our name. Got there at 9:50 and checked in. We were located in the "spa level". This translates to directly across from a game arcade where adults and kids are screaming and yelling. I was with my 85 year old grandmother and asked for a room change. They said they were full. They said the arcade would be closed at 10 PM. Go back to the room and the room has the safety latch on. We can not access the room. I leave my grandmother there since there was quite a distance to the front desk. They start to explain how I can get in. I told them they need to come open the door. I was worried about leaving my grandmother that long so I asked for them to come to the room within 5 minutes. I walk back to the room and we wait for 7 minutes. The volume level (10:15 PM) at the arcade is off the charts and the language was HORRIBLE! We go back to the front desk and they say they have a call into the general manager and it should be about 10 to 15 minutes. I asked for a refund and we looked for a new room.

Your comments truly are appreciated. We regret that the service you received was not up to your expectations, nor was the service up to this hotel’s standards. A desk clerk should have accompanied you to your room to release the safety latch when you first reported it. That is our normal procedure, and I apologize that this was not done. The behavior of a small group of people here for a wedding was unacceptable. When our staff person went to close the game room, they were told to return to the confines of their rooms, and they did. It is regrettable that a few individuals can ruin the stay of others. We would appreciate the opportunity to have you return as our guests and experience our true Southern hospitality.

“Very impressed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2011 via mobile

I'm hard to please when it comes to hotels and I was very impressed! The rooms are clean and big. Beds are comfortable. I requested 2 first floor rooms and that's what I was given. Reservations via phone were quick and easy. Check in was pleasant and quick. The restaurant was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay again! Exceeded my expectations and the price was great too!

“Looks can fool you!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

My husband and i were pleasantly surprised when we saw how nice our room looked after seeing how shabby and run down the lobby area was. The king sized bed had very nice linens and a white down comforter with big fluffy pillows. The triangle shaped jacuzzi with it's pillars looked very inviting. When we started to fill it, the water came out with a dark rusty orange color. We ran it for quite a while till we thought it looked fairly clear, but after the jets were turned on, the rust collected around the edge of the tub and left a nice orange ring (yuck). The lighting in the room was poor especially at the sink area. The temps got into the 40's that night so after returning from our evening out, my husband turned on the wall heater unit to take the chill out of the air. A horrendous toxic smell came out of the heater. We shut it off quickly and opened the door. By this time the stink had set off the smoke alarm in our room. We waved bath towels around to air out the room and the alarm stopped ringing. (needless to say, no one came to see why our alarm was going off). We laugh about it now, the same way we laughed at what the desk clerk insured us was a spectacular view off the balcony outside our door. You be the judge. I attached a picture. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room and no free breakfast of any kind. We've stayed at better hotels for half the price. I will say that the bed was comfortable and the food at the hotel restaurant was pretty good. There was a nice looking pool outside but it was to chilly for us to use it during our stay. Eureka Springs was great and I would like to go there again sometime. Maybe stay at the other Best Western in town that looked much nicer. We saw it as we were leaving town=(

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else!!

“1st time at ESprings, Great time at BWestern”

Just got back. Family of five brought an air mattress for the 5th - plenty of room for the teen to sleep. Pool was great, rec room better. Played ping pong, shuffleboard, old school Buck Hunting arcade game. Beds were soft, had MMaye restaurant food one nite excellent. Went to Banjo Fest on grounds - very unique. ESprings-watched the #southpark episode when bikers come to town. So true in a good way.
