“Hospitality and Locality -- the best!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2010

The location is ideal for anyone wanting a location convenient to the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. You could walk to Mass! We didn't, but you could. Just loved the house and the hostess. Draxie Rogers is the best!!! Anyone going to Eureka Springs to a wedding there, should absolutely stay at Sunnyside to be pamped as well as be so close to that church. I understand that one couple did have a small reception for family-only there, but seems like there'd be plenty of room for a larger party. It's a large spacious home. And so convenient to all points of interest! And so old world elegant. A place to play and stay with good parking and such an ideal setting. I had no idea how scarce parking was at so many places. But not here. Was able to park right at the curb. This is definitely the best overall place with the best innkeeper who should be named "Ms. Eureka Springs" because she made certain we had complete directions for everything we wanted to do and even had suggestions that proved fabulous and made our trip perfect in every way. And the people in the shops all knew her well and we could tell they also thought very highly of her. Eureka Springs is just a great place and the inn stay in is this one!

“Much needed relaxing weekend with girlfriends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2010

My trip to Eureka Spring was a gift in which I mean literally and spiritually. Two girlfriends and I were in need of a weekend away without our spouses and children. I was a little anxious because I have never stayed in a B&B so I did not know what to expect, but Draxie welcomed us like we were family! As soon as I walked in the beautiful and historic home I knew that we were going to have a fantastic time. She gave us a map of the town and highlighted all the important "must see" locations. It was so relaxing and comfortable I did not want to leave! I hope to make our girls weekend away a regular event. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with great food and an even better hostess please stay at the Sunnyside Inn- you will not be disappointed.

“True Blessing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2010

Visiting Eureka Springs is one experience however visiting and staying in a Victorian Bed & Breakfast while in Eureka Springs is a whole new and wonderful experience.
I had the pleasure to bring with me a friend who had never stayed in a B&B and I was excited to broaded their horizon as to the unique and personal interactions that one can experience with this type of accomodations.
Druxie Rogers, the owner and hostess was a true blessing during our unique weekend visit. Sunnyside Inn is a beautiful Victorian home so rich in history and a perfect location
to access upper and lower Eureka Springs. We were treated and fed as family which was an honor!
If you are looking for a place where you can feel right at home......Sunnyside Inn is the place!

“Like staying with a dear friend or grandmother”

Since we have never stayed at a B&B, we have nothing to compare our experience to, but our host, Draxie Rogers, the owner, made us we feel completely at home. She was warm and welcoming and gave us no need to visit the local visitor's center as she was able to give us all the info. we needed on what to see, where to eat and where to avoid.

The house is the 3rd oldest in Eureka Springs and filled with history. Sunnyside served as the VIP cottage for the Thatch Hotel, directly across the street, in the early part of the 1900s. Distinguished guests included Mr. Wrigley, of Wrigley's Gum and Wrigley Field in Chicago, a frequent guest who spent two months a year there enjoying the spring baths he felt improved his arthritis. Mr. Andrew Carnegie also stayed there, donating the current library to Eureka Springs. The Thatch, a beautiful 100 room all wood hotel, burned in 1934. Unfortunately the guest records burned with it. In 1992, Presidential hopefuls Bill, Hillary and Chelsey Clinton stayed there while they campaigned in the area.

The house is decorated in all antiques and has an authentic feel. Our room was roomy, quaint and clean and we had our own bathroom as all of the rooms do; The 5,000 sq. ft. house has three bedrooms and two suites, one being a honeymoon suite complete with heart-shaped tub.

We highly recommend staying with Draxie at the Sunnyside Inn, you will never forget this experience.

The Innkeepers are wonderful people who will welcome you right into their home. My wife & I were there for a wedding and our stay couldn't have been better. I HIGHLY recommend this charming B&B!
