“They charged us twice....... still havent fixed it.....???????”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2011

We were charged our deposit on December 18th 2010.. We paid our balance up on arrival the next morning in cash.... Then...... Then...... Then... on January 18 2011, Lazee Daze Cabins charged my card for the balance I paid in cash... Iike many we operate on a budget in our household and this caused...to say the least..... a few problems.. four over draft fees later. and still no response from Lazee Daze cabins.. Why??? This is a beautiful place that i have stayed at before... Now I have to prove that I didn's authorize the charge.. Sincerely, Pissed off in Kansas City..

“Wonderful Honeymoon Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2009

We stayed in Homer's for our honeymoon. The cabin is great and is one that I could imagine living in albeit if it were somewhat larger. The cedar is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in the hottub on the deck on multiple occasions. Satellite TV was a bonus for winding down before bed. The fall colors were excellent and we would most definitely stay there again. My only complaint would be that the fridge was a little noisy.
It being dog friendly is a bonus. Their yellow lab is very friendly and slobbery! As one other person mentioned, the drive entrance is very steep and could be very interesting in slick conditions. When pulling in, it appears as if you could fall off into the abyss (especially at night).

Eureka springs is a beautiful litte town. I cannot imagine what it would be like to own a manual transmission in that area. I also imagine that those roads eat brakes like no other. If I would have driven my Ranger I surely would have smoked the clutch on some of those extremely steep streets.

“Wonderful First Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2009

My husband and I decided to go to Eureka Springs for our first anniversary. We wanted to stay in a cabin, and we also wanted to bring our dogs with us, which were the main reasons I chose Lazee Daze. We stayed in 'Ozark Dance', which I would definitely recommend. It was secluded and surrounded by very pretty forest scenery, which even had a few paths to go for walks on. The wrap-around porch was very relaxing, it had a swing and a hummingbird feeder. The inside was very clean, all the appliances were in good condition. We went to Gaskins Cabin for dinner, which I would also recommend, for a wonderful steak dinner.
The owners (Bob and Julie) were extremely helpful and nice! We trailored my husbands motorcycle along with us, but when we got there, he realized he forgot the key to the bike. Bob went out of his way to get a key made for us, and then took us for a beautiful bike ride around Beaver Lake. We were only in Eureka Springs for a weekend, and we decided that next time we need to stay longer! There are so many things to see and do, we didn't get a chance to see all Eureka has to offer!

“WONDERFUL!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2009

We loved every minute in our cabin at Lazee Daze. We stayed in the Ozark Dance cabin and enjoyed the seclusion and comfort of our surroundings. These cabins are very well maintained. We were really comfortable and at ease up the first step in the door. Lazee Daze is also located in a perfect spot... nestled into the woods for a nice escape from reality yet only 6 miles to the cute shopping and restaurants of old Eureka Springs. We'd recommend Lazee Daze to anyone ready to chill out and relax!

“Owner likes to spy on you”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2008

My wife and I stayed here for our 5th anniversary. We chose the place because they allow dogs and we like to take our German Shepherd/Husky mix with us on trips occasionally.
When we arrived the place was really nice outside but the inside looked a little beat up and the carpet looked pretty soiled and grimy. We figured since they allow dogs we could deal with a little uncleanliness. It was the kind of place where you want to make sure you are wearing something on your feet when you walk around.
The owner at first seemed like a nice person; although we thought it was a little strange that she didn't seem to know anything about Eureka Springs, like maybe she didn't get out much, (even though she said she had been there several years). We asked where to find a good restaurant and she apparently had never been to any of the restaurants. That was ok, no big deal. We ended up finding some good places to go anyway.
One morning we decided to move the little table from the kitchen out on the wraparound deck to have breakfast outside, (the deck has a large roof over it). There were a few rainshowers in the area but again, the porch was completely covered.
After breakfast we decided to go to the store and pick up a few things. When we came back, to our surprise, all of the doors had been deadbolted, (our keys did not work on the deadbolts, only the locking doorknobs), and our poor dog was locked inside. We waited around for a few minutes and then all of a sudden she came flying up the driveway in a big truck with some dude, screeching to a halt in front of the cabin. She got out and began spouting profanities using just about every cuss word you can imagine. Apparently she was angry that we had moved the table outside onto the porch without permission and claimed that it was ruined. (The dude looked very mean; I was wondering if she had brought the dude along to beat me up or something). I looked at the table and it was clearly not wet at all, it even had one of those glass tops on it to keep it from getting wet. Again, the entire porch was completely covered. She made me and the big dude move the table back inside and then said she was going to charge my credit card for a new table. Despite this ugly experience, this was our last day there and I was not in any mood to go looking for other accomodations. She actually said that she would "allow" us to stay until the next day.
Keep in mind this cabin is among four or five other cabins on the property that are all very secluded. My biggest concern was not about the table, but the fact that we had rented a cabin so we could have privacy and this woman was snooping around the place when we were gone.
Bottom line, I would have gladly paid for the table had it actually been damaged but it was not. (It could not have been worth more than $20). Having someone eavesdropping on us on our 5th anniversary and then being verbally berated by a woman cussing like a sailor in front of my wife, (a very religious person), over a $20 table is not my idea of a fun vacation.
If you are looking for a nice cabin in Eureka Springs, we found out later after driving around town that there are a whole lot of options, most of them much nicer than this place. The lady running the place has some serious anger management issues, in addition to the fact that she seems to be spying on her guests.

We at Lazee Daze sincerely apologize for the unfortunate incident experienced by this guest. Health issues with the owner made it necessary for her to step down as of September 2007 and the property is under new management. We encourage any guests who have had concerns regarding their stay to contact us directly. Again, we apologize and hope that you will consider staying with us in the future.
