We attempt to stay in a new place each time we visit Eureka Springs and I was a little apprehensive about our stay at The Woods Resort since I was not familiar with them. However, my apprehensions were dissolved as soon as we opened the door into our room. We stayed in Suite/Room 5 and it was obvious it was beautiful. All new luxurious linens and towels and it appeared all new carpets, paint, etc. I don't know if these rooms were brand new but they certainly seemed to be. The large jetted tub is located in the bathroom area and sticks out in a bay window sitting so that you can look out at the woods - very nicely done. The only other room in the cottage/suite besides the large bathroom is the bedroom which is quite large and even has a small area that has a coffe, pot, sink, etc. as well as a small refrigerator. Again, very tastefully done. The woods that surround the area make you feel as if you are really staying way out of town when in fact you can walk to downtown. Outside of your room is a lovely porch swing and a waterfall and you can watch deer, etc. go by all day.
We will definitely stay here again and I would not hesitate to recommend either Cabin/Suite 4 or 5 (these are the only ones I have seen). Also, upon arrival the owner leaves you cheesecake and orange juice in your refrigerator which was a very nice touch.
