Because of the bad weather at home, my wife and I decided to go for a short break abroad. We decided on the Chateau de Cop-Choux, in the tiny village of Mouzeil. near Nantes.
The hotel is owned by a Dutch couple, Jan and Gerdie, and it is wonderful. There are 6 rooms, all with names, no numbers. The rooms are pretty large and the beds are very comfortable. There is no radio or tv, so bring a book.
There is the possibillity to book dinner at the Table d'Hotes, Gerdie is a good cook.
The Chateau is located in its own park, and you're free to go anywhere. Very impresive are the two private ruins these people have on their premises. Other facilities are a nice swimming pool and bikes, keep in mind that it gets pretty hilly. All in all you have to see this place to believe it. If you're looking for a nice time away from all the hustle and bustle of the rat race this is the place for you. Don't go here if you are looking for a hip and trendy place.
Oh, and there are two lovely ladies running around Vedette and Syrah, they bring a smile to everybodies face, they are a brown and blond Labrador dogs.THIS PLACE IS A WINNER
