We visited this hotel, also known as Hotel-Restaurant Fabry, in early July as part of a tour we were doing with some friends in our Caterham 7s. It is a superb venue, offering haute cuisine, beautiful rooms and a warm welcome. Mme Fabry couldn't do enough for us, being especially helpful when one of our group had problems with his car. The location is just superb, too, with a truly beautiful view of the Dordogne and permitting access to some wonderful driving roads. We'll be back!

We stayed one night and slept very well, in a comfortable bed in a room which was basic but sufficient and with a lovely view over the river. The decor of the place was pretty grim and dated but the food was superb. We had a wonderful meal and the service was very good indeed. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the the Rendez-Vous des Pecheurs, also known as Hotel-Restaurant Fabry, on Tuesday 22 June 2010. The hotel is in a wonderful location, just above the banks of the river Dordogne, near the Pont du Chambon. The food is truly excellent. Recommended, and well worth a detour to visit.

We booked this small hotel on the strength of previous reviews on a number of sites and were not disappointed. The rooms were nothing special, but they were clean and simple with a great views over the river and the wooded hills of a gorge.
A spectacular, steep winding descent almost to the point of, "This cannot be right, surely?" leads you to the charming hotel at the bottom of the hill.
Considering it seems off the beaten track, the restaurant was truly amazing.
The menu had many regional dishes, fish a speciality and a vast choice of cheeses. Whilst seemingly miles into the countryside its reputation locally and quality of food ensured that it was very busy.
The staff were excellent and helpful and service was good too.
Considering this hotel is in a tranquil country setting and ‘off the beaten track’ it is a good base for exploring the Dordogne / Limousin region.
You will find it difficult to get such good value for your Euro than here.
