Firstly about the apartment... The Manzano Apartments are at the top of a big windy hill so the walk from the bottom of where u get dropped off from ur transfer is LONG especially after a 3 and half hour coach trip from Toulouse! However the Manzano is not bad at all, the ski shop is just underneath the first floor and was very helpful. Our room was massive.. there was 5 of us and we opted for a 2 bed apt, and it was big enough to hold 8, the bathroom was really big alot different from ur usual tiny foreign bathrooms!! The kitchen was well equipped and all of us got proper beds. The negatives about the Manzano are it is quite expensive, the food is expensive £12 for a very small breakfast! Drinks are only cheap if you buy when its happy hour.
The reps were great, if ur going with people like Neilsons, this is a good idea cus u can opt to do all the different events with them, which is great cus you get to meet new people and they generally do deals which saves you lots of money.
The nightlife is good, but as for being like Ibiza or Magalluf... definately not, which was good as it was still laid back enough for older people. It has a few really good bars, and one or two nightclubs that are worth a look. I was worried by some of the reviews that Pas was gonna be an absolute nightmare, filled with lots of british louts! However it wasnt like this at all, yeah people were getting drunk but it was mainly families and older groups of friends, which was nice as it gave it a really nice atmosphere.
As far the skiing/boarding... well we had awful snow conditions, we had snow storms, blizzards and even rain in the first few days which obviously made it very difficult to ski and alot of the chair lifts were closed and if they were open then it was too windy and cold to actual go up them! In the last few days when the weather was a little better, me and my partner got an awful sickness bug that was apparantally going around Pas, so overall we had one good day of skiing, and in my opinion it is better when you get over the other side of the mountain Grau roig and Soldeu, lots of runs, not many blues though mainly reds.

So overall... the apartment was lovely and big, careful when using the showers as sometimes all the hot water goes when using it one after the other! Pas is not cheap unless its happy hour! Paddys is the only place that is not badly priced for eveything. Long Transfer, however they do stop so does break the journey up! Great nightlife - Lively but not too over the top. Be careful of illnesses over there - there was so much of everything going around, so take medication cus £100 later and a journey to the doctor is rubbish on xmas day!
If you can try and ski over to the other mountains as they are alot better than just hanging around Pas.
We probably wouldnt go back to Pas de la casa but i would recommend that you try it just to experience something different. It says its not family friendly but when we were there... there were more families there than younger people.

Myself and 2 friends stayed in the Manzano for a weeks skiing. We had booked an apt for 4 but on arrival we were upgraded to a 6 bed at no extra charge as they just happened to have one available. The apartments were very clean and well equipped. I was worried we would be freezing but they were actually quite warm and there were plenty of extra blankets in the apartment should we have needed them.

The ski shop was excellent, really good quality skis and boots and the staff were extremely helpful. The ski lockers were great too altho we did decide to get one nearer the slopes as we were only beginners and the trek to the beginner slopes were a killer.

Overall we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. On arrival we found the hairdryer in the apartment wasn't working and they had it replaced the next day. The lift broke the day after we arrived and they had someone out straight away to fix it. There was also a problem with the hot water the last night of our stay and again someone was called out and it was fixed within an hour.

This hotel is up a bit of a hill however it is owned by the same family that own the Olympiades which was only down the road and right beside the slopes, great place for lunch, dinner and just sitting out on the terrace watching all the action on the slopes if you've had too many drinks the night before. They also had discount vouchers in the Manzano off the food in the Olympiades.

Overall i would recommend these apartments and I would definately stay there again. I would say however that if going again we would definately book the bigger apartment as we just about had enough room for all our girlie stuff.

The nightlife in PAS is great, lots to do, we booked a few nights out with the tour company which made the holiday as we got to meet alot of people during the week.

Stayed in a room on the 7th floor with 6 people which was reasonably spacious. It was a well equipped apartment, the only down side was it only had one toilet between six people and the shower was terrible (shower head wasn't attached to the wall so had to be hand held and there was barely enough hot water to share between 6 people - when discussed with the hotel they said they only had a small hot water tank per floor and there was nothing they could do about it). The bar/restaurant in the hotel was very good, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent (extra cost) and there was good drink/happy hour deals after skiing. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening so can't comment on that but can highly recommend a restaurant called Rapid Pasta which is at the base of the lifts which is a French run restaurant with fantastic food. Location is ok, a short walk down a very steep hill to the foot of the slopes. Must recommend hiring a heated locker at the base of the slope which makes this walk very easy otherwise it would be a very difficult walk in ski boots. Overall this is a good value, basic hotel which aims to accomodate your needs. It lacks the finer touches. Would stay here again with a group of chaps but wouldn't take the wife.

Agree with other reviews. Very well equipped apartments tho i wouldnt want to share a 4 or 6 bed with 4-6 people! we paid a supplement so it was just the 2 of us.

Cannot fault the ski-ing. Was truly fantastic. Well worth going over the other side, soldeu area as it is much prettier, views are fabulous and tree lined. The aptment is really close to the lifts, just a few mins walk downhill. However, I would not stay at this apartment if you have people going to the school. Out of our group of 17, 3 were on the school and gave up by the third day and just taught themselves as the walk was about 20 mins and was just plain exhausting for them!

We all really liked the apartments but would not go back to Pas de la casa. It is like a skiing version of ibiza. There is loads of noise until 3 am every night. Our group was very mixed, very young to fairly old, and we like to have a good time, but ultimately we went for the skiing so by midnight i want to go to bed and sleep. Impossible here! Quite often vomit outside the front door of the hotel and the noise is not just in the hotel, but also in the street. If you go, go expecting not to sleep for a week and you will not be disappointed. Think maybe next time we will try for soldeu as I cannot criticise the skiing at all.
