Myself and my family visited this Hotel in Feb 2010. The hotel is very basic, the bathrooms were nowehere near as nice as all the photo's I'd seen on the internet. However, for the special deal we'd been lucky enough to find on the internet we were happy enough with the basic rooms and the fact that it's probably one of the furthest hotels from the ski lifts. This meant a 15 min walk uphill in ski boots carrying our ski's. Again, we were ok about this because we had got a cheap deal on the internet. At the end of our week we went to check out and pay the bill and this is where we became very unsatisfied with this hotel. They wanted to charge us a £1000 more than we had been quoted for our stay. This apparently is their normal fee, and believe me, you would never book this hotel at this vastly over inflated price.
It appears there was something wrong with their automated online system and I had not been sent a confirmation email with cost details on, and neither had they received one, even though they definitely knew we had booked and were expecting us on arrival. I argued my case at the reception for some time, resulting with the receptionist phoning his boss. He informed me I had two choices. One was I paid the bill and persued a claim to get it back. He couldn't tell me how I would persue this claim etc or who with. My second choice was that they would call the police!! As I didn't fancy an argument with men with guns, and we were running out of time before our bus arrived to get to the airport (only 1 a day!) we had to pay what they were asking. Now I'm home I can find no information on how to claim back the money or persue a complaint with, so we are stuck with the extra cost.
I would not recommend this experience to anyone.
