If this was a five star Hotel then I would not give it a five star rating but it is not.

I wanted a very cheap skiing holiday for me and two friends and I stayed for the last week in January 2012. I booked through Crystal and it was a very good weeks holiday for a very good price.

There were three of us sharing a room and we received a room with one double bed and two single beds with enough room for all our stuff. There was a balcony and a decent sized bathroom. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. The only downside for me was the shower. It had plenty of hot water and the pressure was good but it was a bath style one and was quite difficult to get in and out.

The food was better than expected. Breakfast consisted of the usual, bread/rolls, ham&cheese, coffee & tea, fresh fruit salad, juices, cereals & yogurts.
There was always two choices for dinner which were chosen at breakfast and these were in my opinion very good. It was home made pub style food and exactly what is required after a day on the piste. I particularly enjoyed the Friday curry night with a starter of Onion Barji (one massive home made version - tasty) a main of Chicken Tikka Masala (with nann, chips, rice and pompadom) and a lemon sorbet ice cream dessert.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pat, the manager does a fantastic job of pleasing everyone and if you do have an issue he seems committed to sorting it out.

This place is not right next to the piste but otherwise the location is great - its right in the middle of town and only takes five minutes to walk to the lifts. We stored or skis at lockers near the lift and had no problems.

I don't see why Meljr has such a problem. They seem to be reviewing the resort rather than the Hotel. I'm my opinion (I have been to many Austrian, Italian & French resorts including Saalbach) this resort is fantastic. The nightlife is better than any in Italy or France that I have been to and better than some in Austria although I would still say Austria has the best! Oh and the comment about teenagers is probably not far from the truth but that's what I expect from a cheap holiday!! Where else would the young ones go? (there were a couple of young groups when I went), Meljr - I suggest you go spend some of your money next time and get what you want. I will save mine and have a fantastic time next time I go to Andorra.
