Stayed here in February for only one night. The view from terrace and rooftop was great, especially at sunrise. Their food was good, too. But to be honest, the impression was ruined by the room. It was unbearably cold. Felt more like camping outside. No heat whatsoever, not even little heater provided. We had 2 twin beds in the room (2 of us) but only one hot water bottle was given. When we asked for one more, manager made a joke. They gave extra blankets, but it didnt help, we had to sleep in winter jackets and it was still very cold, felt just like staying outside. I couldnt wait until the night to be over. That night I heard other guests complaining about cold rooms as well.
I must also mention all the blankets were really dirty, as it seemed everyone slept in outside clothes before us.
We were promised hot water in the bathroom, but it got only lukewarm at the best. Bathroom was very damp and wet, with small rain warms crawling through the drain in the floor. I must say it was really disgusting. When complained to a manager, he said oh well its typical for Nagarkot, there are always insects here, sometimes spiders etc. I was really annoyed by his attitude.
I couldnt believe all the wonderful reviews I read here on TripAdvisor. Maybe we had wrong expectations coming there. But is it too much to expect - warm (or at least dry) room and bathroom, clean bedding? We payed $30 which is a lot for Nepal. Do yourself a favor and splurge $50 on a nicer place (I wished I did so many times during that night).
Rating "poor" instead of "terrible" due to only the view.
