I travel to El Dorado on business frequently. This place is by far the B&B/Inn I've stayed in. Heck, I'd live in one of these rooms if I could. I've stayed in many different rooms, including the suite with the kitchen. There are 3 buildings.....2 right on the square (with balconies) and one around the corner. They also have a house a few blocks away, but I've not been there.
My last stay was in room J15 (around the corner). It was very nice. Big with a desk and sitting area. Nice sized bathroom and separate dressing table. (I attached pictures, but you can find pics of every room on the website). Each room is in converted warehouses or apartments above shops. The ceilings are high and some rooms have exposed brick walls. All have lots of character with unique furniture.
There is a reception area but I've never been there before 5:00 so I've not seen it. But that doesn't matter.....you don't need to speak to anyone to get into your room. They call it the "5 second check-in". You make the reservation and get an email from Joanie with a code to your lock box. Open the lock box, retrieve your key, head to your room. But, should you need anything, Joanie answers the phone at all hours. This is not a full-service hotel (front desk, room-service, bellboy, etc), but personally, there is absolutely nothing that I miss.
Ammenties in the room include coffee maker, water, soda, wifi, & tv. There is also a pass to the gym around the corner and drink tickets at the pub off the square.
Breakfast is served in front of the rail car. Ham, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal, biscuits, & yogurt. For dinner, head across the street to FayRays.
