Where to start? I knew ahead of time we would be arriving after midnight, so I called the Super 8 to let them know. No big deal I was told, there is a phone attached to the building & I was instructed to call 200, 400 or 0 and someone would be "right there" to check us in. We arrived at there at about 3am. Picked up the phone & dialed 200...nothing. Tried 400... the "4" didn't work. Tried 0...nothing. (noticed the 9 was pushed in...hmm.) After repeated direct phone calls to the motel lobby from our cell phones, a lengthy call to the Super 8 1-800 # (they couldn't even find our reservation), & banging very loudly on a manager's door we located around by the pool.....THIRTY minutes later....a grouchy, gleering man appeared into the lobby area. We informed him the phone outside wasn't working & he grumpily said "Well, you just called me from it!"

We finally get into our room, it was no cooler in there than 90 degrees...had to take cold showers to cool down! At 3:45 AM!
I know this was a smoking room, I had reserved a NON-smoking room, there were 2 ashtrays & the place reeked. (I am a smoker, but I prefer staying in a NON-smoking room. I go outside to smoke, even at home.)
Ok... I realize it's JUST a Super 8...I've stayed in Clarksville before, but never here. However, next time, I will GLADLY pay double & stay at the Comfort Inn across the street before I ever consider staying here again.
The BEST thing staying here offered was the Adult XXX Store in the same parking lot. (about the ONLY entertainment in the town of Clarksville...)

It's about the same as other Super 8s that are right off the interstate -
not gross but not great.
There is a XXX store that shares the parking lot -
up to you if that's good or bad.
