Six years ago my huband and I spent our honemoon at the River View Hotel, Calico Rock, Arkansas.............The hotel and staff are wonderful. Even though the owners have changed, it's still wonderful place to stay. You feel like you are at home with the wonderful greeting, atmosphere...................and at anytime you can walk to the sunroom and see the beautiful White River and countryside. We enjoy Calico Rock so much we are up to two visits each year. If I had my way, we'd sell everything and move there. Since we can't move, we will continue making several trips a year to Calico Rock staying at the River View Hotel. Can't say enough wonderful things about the the Hotel and Calico Rock.

We found the hotel online and stayed there over labor day in 2000. The
breakfasts blow you away...very inventive! The rooms are very eclectic
and scream southern charm and kookiness! This place is just wonderful
and the owner and daughter have done a lovely job. Cheers!

Stayed at the River View on labor day weekend in 2000. Had the greatest time and the hotel is just perfect. The breakfast there will blow other B&Bs away...very creative and inventive! The charm of the hotel is in its wackiness... that is about the best way to say it. I loved the moon pies and cold sodas! We will be coming back!

We had two days to explore Arkansas and this is one of those place where memories are made. The inn keeper is very nice, and she understands that you want to be alone. She has an upstair kitchen so if you are hungry in the middle of the night or just want some hot cocoa it's there already. The scenery was beautiful and so was the room. This would be a great place to escape from the world. When I think of romantic, this place always come to my mind. :-)
