We drove into Blytheville a little after dark looking for a hotel. We ended up at the Days Inn. The lobby was in very nice condition, looked like a decent place to stay and the price was reasonable. Then we left the lobby and went to our room. It was Yuck at first sight. My mother, my daughter and I were on a girls trip to visit relatives north of St. Louis. After driving all day from the deep south, we were hoping for a shower and a good nights sleep before hitting the road bright and early. Not gonna happen at this hotel. First thing we noticed was the smell of mildew. Probably from the small refridgerator that was sitting directly on the carpet. The bathroom looked very dirty as did the rest of the room. We almost left when the huge bug ran out of the bathroom and under the fridge. Yuck again! I took a shower but the tub was so filthly looking I had to lay a towel in the bottom of it before I would even put my feet in the tub. We went to bed but didn't sleep well. The noise was loud and all night long. We heard every door in the building when it closed and someone honked for an extended period of time around 2am. We didn't need a wake up call and we weren't interested in the free breakfast. Don't waste your time or money at this hotel. Sleep in your car instead. It's probably more comfortable and a lot cleaner!
