The Jenny Kent is a great find in a city that is overrun with impersonal hotel and motel chains along 4th Avenue. The charming historic property has been very nicely maintained, with a nice outdoor patio and yard. The house is very comfortable and has spacious common rooms for the use of guests (including a large living room, large kitchen, and dining room). It's also just blocks from Yuma's historic downtown, which has a cute Old Western feel.
The owners provide an extensive breakfast spread and will alter it to your tastes. They are a pair of semi-retired professors who want to make sure their guests feel comfortable and happy.
Perhaps the nicest part of staying at the Jenny Kent is the comfort, charm, and unique style of the inn. The owners are widely-traveled and have furnished the house with art and pottery from their travels. You feel like you're staying in the house of a worldly and well-traveled college professor, and you in fact are.
Each room is nicely appointed with TV, desk, and bookshelves, and art. Each has its own bathroom and shower. There are some rooms with Queen beds, and others with twin beds. Long-term stays are available.
