I went to check in at this hotel on 2/18/11. I gave the clerk a 100 $ bill to pay for the room. He asked if I had anything smaller. I said yes and pulled out some smaller bills. The clerk took the bills and started talking about the room. I said you didn't give me the 100 $ bill back. He said don't pull that stuff with me, I gave you the 100 $ bill back. I told him no you didn't. He said why don't you check your purse and shirt.
I called my husband to come in with me and the clerk had no more to say. I told him I was going to call the police. He said I'm going to count my drawer and see if I'm 100 $ over and then we'll see who's a liar. My husband kept his eyes on the money he was counting. About 5 or so minutes later he got a 100 $ bill and through it on the counter and said take your money and go find another hotel. The clerk's name was James and he didn't even say sorry my mistake.

If you think that is shocking listen to this...... I called the hotel this morning ( Monday 2/21/11) and spoke with the manager John. I explained what happen on Friday. He said we'll I'll pass this on to the GM. He didn't get my number or anything. I asked him if this was the way his customers were treated all the time. I also told him I could see why his employees treated customers so rudely because that is the way he was treating me. No I'm sorry, NO NOTHING!!!!!!!

I told him I was going to find his corporate number and report them. He said have a nice day and hung up.

I have never been treated so badly and have never been so furious. I would never, never recommend this hotel to anybody. The Royal Motor Inn is right down the street. The price is the same and the rooms are bigger and cleaner. The staff was awesome.

Not five star but comfortable and pleasing in every other respect. Great value, conveniently situated and great staff.

I have been coming to Yuma from San Diego for years, and I stay at Yuma palm's every time. If you're a princess, no this isn't four season's in Carlsbad Ca. It's comparable to motel 6, and better than the Yuma Cabana. The rooms I have stayed in have always been clean, and I have never had a problem. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. They also have a "Trucker Rate" and WIFI. So to sum it up again: Clean room, good night's sleep, no riff-raff = YES!! Place to get pampered in, with butler = NO.

We were in town for a funeral. 4 rooms total were reserved for several family members. When we arrived to check in, there was a man sleeping in a chair in the lobby. He woke up and checked us in (it was about 2pm). Room was small but clean. We laid down for some rest. When I got up to get ready, there was a strange looking bug on the wall next to the headboard. I called my husband over to look at it and he confirmed it was a bed bug!!! I called the front office to inform them. There was no concern or apology. They did offer to move us to another room. I asked if they could gaurantee there would be no BEDBUGS in another room. Needless to say we packed and left very quickly.
