Read some of the comments before online booking. Did not think it was as bad as some said and price was OK. Got there, cat sleeping on office counter (should have tipped me off) got into room, went to bathroom and was scared to stay there as the floor was crawling with a multitude of ants. They put me into another room. I checked the bathroom, phew, no ants. I pulled back the bed covers and I found bugs. I turned around, left, went down the street to Yuma Cabana and got a room for less, it was clean and larger as well. I stayed for 5 days and loved it and did not get a creepy feeling when I went to bed. I have traveled all over Asia and Europe and do not expect a Hilton class, but want a room that is clean.

I booked this hotel on line and upon arriving in Yuma checked in. Looked old , double bed but towels were clean. I asked for 2 extra pillows and was told no problem. When we returned at 10:15 pm, the pillows were not there. My husband went to the office and aked for them and was told 'Housekeeping is closed'. He told them we had asked earlier and to get off the property. He said 'Pardon me'. Clerk again said 'Get off my property'. He said 'What about a refund?' He said 'You booked on the internet, get it from them'. When he returned to the room I could tell by his face something was wrong - I was worried he was ill. He said ' We are leaving'. I was in my nightie so had to get dressed and try to look for another room at 10:30 pm. I took the keys to the office and asked' Could you please explain to me what is going on'. He said'Your husband has an attitude and I ordered him off of the property. Give me my keys'. We are in our 70's and this was a dreadful experience.

I went to check in at this hotel on 2/18/11. I gave the clerk a 100 $ bill to pay for the room. He asked if I had anything smaller. I said yes and pulled out some smaller bills. The clerk took the bills and started talking about the room. I said you didn't give me the 100 $ bill back. He said don't pull that stuff with me, I gave you the 100 $ bill back. I told him no you didn't. He said why don't you check your purse and shirt.
I called my husband to come in with me and the clerk had no more to say. I told him I was going to call the police. He said I'm going to count my drawer and see if I'm 100 $ over and then we'll see who's a liar. My husband kept his eyes on the money he was counting. About 5 or so minutes later he got a 100 $ bill and through it on the counter and said take your money and go find another hotel. The clerk's name was James and he didn't even say sorry my mistake.

If you think that is shocking listen to this...... I called the hotel this morning ( Monday 2/21/11) and spoke with the manager John. I explained what happen on Friday. He said we'll I'll pass this on to the GM. He didn't get my number or anything. I asked him if this was the way his customers were treated all the time. I also told him I could see why his employees treated customers so rudely because that is the way he was treating me. No I'm sorry, NO NOTHING!!!!!!!

I told him I was going to find his corporate number and report them. He said have a nice day and hung up.

I have never been treated so badly and have never been so furious. I would never, never recommend this hotel to anybody. The Royal Motor Inn is right down the street. The price is the same and the rooms are bigger and cleaner. The staff was awesome.

Not five star but comfortable and pleasing in every other respect. Great value, conveniently situated and great staff.
