The airport FBO referred us to the Econolodge because they were the only motel in town to provide van service to the airport. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to please. The Econolodge is an older motel with no central hallways, but it has been repainted and has new carpets. It showed evidence of continued maintenance and housekeeping. It is economy lodging, basic with a few amenities. The outdoor pool appeared clean. The continental breakfast had been cleaned out either by the railroaders or the firefighters, so we got none. But, the staff made sure we got to the airport early enough to prepare our plane.

The motel location is right off of the interstate but didn't seem noisy. The room was non-smoking but there were cigarette burns on the bathroom floor and the side of the tub. There was also no plug for the tub. (Good thing we take showers.) Not providing a hair dryer was a minus, but the bigger issue was that there was no outlet or lamp on the desk for computer use. My husband had to plug the computer in an outlet on the wall near the bed and move the desk chair over to it. Other than those things, it was okay.

We were moving from the East coast to CA. A very long drive with a moving truck. We were tired and "road weary" by the time we got there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well cared for and it was quiet, even though we faced the interstate. They recommended a GREAT place for Mexican home cooking - Brown Mug Cafe. It was probably the best Mexican food we've had in a long time

Like most Econolodges, these motels are budget accommodations. But this motel was very nice I thought. It looks pretty boring and non-descript from the outside but the room that I had was spacious and comfortable. There were no problem in my visit at all. One note, however: I got a room facing away from Interstate 40 and the room was quiet. If you get a room on the other side of the motel it may be a lot noisier.
