“Close to Grand Canyon & Old Route 66”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We have stayed here 2 times, most recently in October 2010. When we planned the trip, we KNEW where to stay & where our 2 small chihuahuas would also be welcomed. The hotel is wonderful in that the rooms are very comfortable & the employees are all so nice & helpful. The Grand Canyon is not right outside the front door but a short drive away. And Old Route 66 is right around the corner where you can find tourist shops, shop with the locals & even an old style Route 66 diner which hides a secret - it is also a Brewery! We have had a great stay at the hotel & would never look for any other place to stay. Enjoy the Canyon Land & have a nice room waiting for you when you come back tired & sweaty from your Canyon visit.

Room Tip: The hotel boasts a gift shop & restaurant - so too worn out to drive, no worry, just stay in &am...

“Folks, this is a good choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We decided to stay here the night before our trip to The Grand Kanyon. We found it very convenient price wise because the hotels near to the GC are very expensive and location wise since we also wanted to go to Sedona - wich by the way - is very beautiful and pretty much worth the ride (about 50 min.) We got to Sedona a Dusk and the colors are something that you can not miss- Sedona was one of the hightlights of our overall trip and we will go there again. It is a magical place.
This hotel is an average small town Holiday Inn hotel. We had a good night sleep and got up around seven to go the the GC wich is one of Gods most beautiful creations. In the evening we stayed again in this hotel and had dinner at their restaurant (which was ok)and the next day we went back to Vegas to take our plane.
I almost forget: In the way to the GC there is a store with a big sign: "The last stop before the GC" well, this just is not true!!! We felt they tricked us so because we bought a lot of stuff there. After that place there are many, more convenient stores.

“Great stop over before the Canyon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We booked this as part of our harley road trip up to the Gran Canyon for our honeymoon. Having stayed in a couple of motels on the Route 66 this was a welcome bit of relative luxury. We arrived and immediately felt welcome as a group of Harley's arrived as we did.
the hotel was comfortable and clean and the pool was a welcome touch after being on the bike for a number of hours. The hot tub was really hot, too hot to stay in for any length of time. It was clean and there were a couple of other people in there too.
We went out for dinner that evening, as we felt the restaurant there was a little over priced, but we did enjoy a drink in the bar upon our return.
It was a shame breakfast wasn't included, but we went to the Jack in the Box at the end of the road, which offered a very cheap, albeit unhealthy, alternative.
Service there was good and the staff had a smile, which was nice. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep before heading off to the Canyon.
A great little stop over place.

“Lots of space but wouldnt recommend”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

We stayed here with a family of 5 for 2 nights in april 2011. The 2 room suite was spacious for us but basic furnishings. We were going to grand canyon and this really too far. Stay closer because the 1 hr drive is long and unnecessary. The hotel restaurant is friendly and decent. The pool was well what can i say - disgusting. We went once and no one wanted to go back. No one there in the pool so i assume others agreed.

“The good and the bad of this Holiday Inn!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Overall the experience here was okay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The good and the bad of this property:

Huge Workout room - but only 4 pieces of old equipment...

Nice pool and hot tub (hot, hot tub, like it should be).

The staff was very friendly.

Very nice beds, I slept extremely well!

No free breakfast, that is a downer. Especially considering this hotel has lined themselves up with the adjoining restaurant (Docs) in which we did not have a great experience...
