We stayed here after driving from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, and then back to this motel for the night. We had 4 kids (7,7, 4 & 16) and so we had a roll-away bed for the 16 y/o and had the 3 young ones on one bed - while my wife and I had the other bed.
Beds were comfy (although only a double size), they had good linens and pillows, and the bathrooms had just been updated in the last few years,..which made for a great experience there. Baths had granite counters, picture-frame mirrors, brushed nickel faucets,..and the baths had slate-looking tile surround of the showers on a nice brick-lay. Great brushed nickel finishes.
A/C in the room is a window unit,..and in the bath area,..so takes a little while to get into the sleeping area.
Nice big rooms,...so plenty of space,..could have even fit another roll away bed!
Best part of this place is the grass, basketball hoops and the pool/jacuzzi. Kids LOVED the pool, and even though the jackuzzi was Luke-warm,..was fun. Great mountain views from the pool area,..so if you go during summer, you will love it!
The restaurant was good, we had brat there - but BEWARE, 2 adults 3 small kids and a 16 y/o,..with a $98 BILL!!!!!!! and that was WITH the "breakfast vouchers" being applied!
Overall, a great place to stay with the kids,...and you will be able to stay there a half-day on the morning of check-out with lots of things to do. (btw , the mini golf is 4 holes in the basketball court, which is covered with artificial turf! Fun for the little kids,..but not for "miniature golfers" that are looking for a real course) .
BUT, for $149,...I've stayed at much nicer places. And for $98 bucks,..holy smokes,..breakfast was just WAYYYYY to expensive.
We aren't snobby about where we stay though,..so we had a great time,..and if you are similar,..then you will have a great time too!
