New owners here - and they make this place absolutely fantastic. The place is old and looks a little tired from the outside but do not judge a book by it's cover. This place is fantastic. The rooms are clean and well appointed - fridge, microwave and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is only juice and rolls but that isn't really a problem. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the pillows were great. But what sets this place apart are the couple who run and own it. They are the perfect example of how hospitality should be done. Friendly and informative and so welcoming - we really did feel welcome. We were so impressed with this brave young couple and what they have taken on and we will return without doubt.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Highlander. We found the place to be clean and comfortable. The owners Alain and Sandra were friendly and helpful. The price was great too. We will definitely stay there again if our travels take us through Williams.

We stayed 2 nights in October 2011 at the Highlander. It's a Route 66 "historic" motel in Williams. The price is really good and you get great value. Room and bathroom were very clean, with comfy beds. Lots of channels on tv. I also liked the old openable bathroom windows.Those new automatic fans make so much noise.
As a couple they had us set for one bed, when we asked for 2 beds, they were so nice.
And then when I left my super special pillow there, they were kind enough to send it to me
and would not accept payment. When it arrived, all nicely packaged, it even had my shower cap inside. They are a lovely couple from Belgium who now own it. They were very open to my suggestions and indeed had already picked up on the same thing I mentioned. Very nice folks. Good place to stay, 2 nights for the price of 1 elsewhere makes your trip last longer.
