“Avoid the Winter Months”

We arrived on a Saturday Night in March. The park was only about 10% filled. I was not real happy with the fact that they placed us all the way at the end, however I never mentioned anything to them about it. Anyways the park itself was VERY clean. I used the facilities in our trailer, however my wife commented that she was AMAZED with how clean the bathrooms were. At night when the temps are going to get below 40 degrees, they turn off all the water to the sites and turn it back on about 830 in the morning. This was a surprise to us on the first day, considering I did not fill the tanks in the trailer. During our second night it got down in the teens and started snowing. In the morning we awoke to about 4 inches of snow on the ground. The water was still off naturally and was told that the pipes were frozen to the campground.

Notes: Ensure you are well prepared for your time in Williams. There is no Walmart, etc. Only one small hardware store in town. The nights are very cool this time of year so pack accordingly.
The WIFI signal is not very good, however staying at a couple other places I now feel that it is about normal.
I must say this was our first stop on our first camping trip and even through all of that we were overall satisfied.

This was a very clean, extremely friendly, place to stay. They were helpful with the area attractions, which were all close to the campground.

“Very Nice people and Very clean”

Spent one night here so we could take a quick drive to the canyon. Nice location for visiting the park. The staff/owners were very friendly and accommodating. The showers get an A+ and everything was clean. A pretty location. I would recommend this as a good place to spend the night , get a shower and take the short road trip to the Canyon. Having a staff that is pleasent and flexible is worth a lot when you are traveling and they were. In fact, we got in quite late and the laundry was locked but the owner oferred to open it up for me to use and only asked that I lock the door when finished.

“Fantastic KOA”

We spent the month of December 2010 here. Staff is great and so helpful. We stayed in a 5th wheel. Campground was always clean, plowed so we could get out when it snowed. We had a wonderful time going to all the places we had planned and all the places the staff suggested. Would stay here again and again.

“Home Away From Home, We'll Be Back”

I can't say enough amazing things about this campground. My husband and I took our 6 for 2 days just this past weekend. It was a cold weekend too (12 degrees on our last night there) ! Our kamping kabin was ready to go and the staff even had the heat on waiting for us. The bathrooms were sparkly clean. Everything looked brand new. The employees were so welcoming that by the end of our stay, they felt like family. We hung out around the fire inside the lounge of the office and sipped hot cocoa that Melita made for us. We talked her ear off for some time. We never did get the name of the gentleman who worked there that weekend. He did all of the maintenance for the campground. He was a nice guy too. When one of our heaters stopped working, he replaced it immediately. He also fixed the doorknob, within seconds, to the kabin that I (mom) accidentally broke. We had such a great time with them and enjoyed our lenghty conversations. The location to downtown Williams is perfect and the drive to the Grand Canyon isn't too bad. Overall, I'd have to say this place rated very high from a frequent camping family. We'll definitely be back come summertime.
