“Love this campground”

We stay in this campground several times during the summer months as we get away from the heat in the valley. They put in new rest rooms in the upper area in 2008 so that made it much better. We always stay in the upper campground as there is less traffic there and the camp hosts keep the spaces clean.

My husband fishes in Kaibab Lake and also at several other locations around Williams and always gets his limit. We like it here as it is close to all the facilities that we could want in Williams.

The worst thing we have encountered was in June and it was the "no-seeums" which are little bugs that you can't see but they bite you like a mosquito and itch like crazy.

Since there are no showers or hookups, you have to go to town and pay to shower at one of the RV Parks and that can get expensive at $5.00 per shower. They do have a dump station at the campground but it costs.

“I loved this campground”

We had a company camp out where we had an entire group site. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews of the grounds, but once I arrived I was no longer feeling anxious. First of all, the previous reviews were 4 years ago, and much has changed. The facilities have drinking water and vault bathrooms. I was concerned about having the "vault" toilets, but all in all was happier with that than water flushing toilets!!!! There was no odor at all, the bathrooms are brand spanking new from June 06'. They have a huge room with enough space to dress if you would like, a toilet, antibacterial hand sanitizer, and tissue. That is all, but so clean and I was impressed. There are camp hosts that come through the camp several times a day cleaning up and checking on the facility. There are metal fire pits with a grill on top, plastisized picnic tables and the forest has already been thinned out appropriately. All in all a good experience. The lake was a little low, but is Arizona! The lake was fully stocked with Trout and Catfish.

Stayed May 2007

We visited Kaibab lake on the way to the Grand Canyon. It was a beautiful ,quite place.A serene lake .A few people here and there were fishing.A good place for taking pictures ,an on-the-way lunch ,a quite relaxing nap . The forest grounds were peaceful. But the restrooms were unbearable .Otherwise, its a good resting place on the way to or from the Grand Canyon.

“Lake ver low”

Drove through the campground after leaving Grand Canyon, and spent a couple hours. The lake is down at least half....severe drought in the area. The pit toilets are a little gross, unless your'e used to roughing it. It was tough on the women with us.
