“Cute inn, great location!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2007

We were a little scared to stay here...can't really tell you why, but we are so pleasantly surprised. The room we stayed in was spacious and cute. If you are looking for luxury, DO NOT stay in Williams. If you are looking for an old fashioned town, this is the place and Inn for you. The location was great, at one end of old Rte 66. The innkeeper was very helpful and gracious. I would stay here again and recommend it.

“Good place for the money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2007

Nice enough room, work being done in room next door was fairly loud, but ceased in the evening. I found the town of Williams to be kind of dissapointing as a whole, but this hotel was not bad. It is a fine "jump off" spot for heading to the Grand Canyon whether by train or car (I drove). Could have been cleaner - cleaning person missed a used washcloth from previous guest. Oh, and if its cold outside, make sure you ask for a second space heater! Even with that it took a long time for the room to warm up (keep in mind, I'm from south Florida and am not used to cold at all). Lots of blankets provided.

People were friendly and helpful. I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment.

“This place really needs some TLC!”

We stayed at the Buffalo Pointe based on travelor's reviews from TripAdvisor, and I have to admit it's the first time I felt that TripAdvisor let me down -- although admittedly I did "ignore" some of the negative reviews being the generally positive person that I am! I've stayed in a lot of different B&Bs, but this one just really doesn't measure up! My overall feeling is that the owners/managers just really don't care enough to pay attention to all the little details that distinguish a B&B from the local Motel 6! For instance:
1. We had to go downstairs to ask for a roll of toilet paper, as our roll was 3/4 empty when we moved into our room, and no extra rolls to be found in the room or bathroom.
2. We had to keep taking the lid off the toilet and "fixing" it ourselves, as it had a problem with either not flushing or constantly running, which was very annoying.
3. Towel bar in the bathroom had parts missing/broken -- how hard is this to fix?
4. Little details such as no where in either room (we had two) to hang shirts on hangers (we ended up having to hang shirts on a wall sconce.
5. This is strictly a personal preference -- but we feel that no matter how nice the animal is, DOGS DO NOT BELONG IN A BED AND BREAKFAST ESTABLISHMENT!
6. The rooms are just slightly above "shabby" category, i.e. stains on the carpets, curtains made out of sheets, etc.

  • Liked — Breakfast was really very good, in a congenial atmosphere!
  • Disliked — The slightly shabby, uncared for conditions.
  • Tips/Secrets — There are surely better places to stay in Williams -- although I'm not sure where!

“Not the best place to stay while visiting Grand Canyon”

I stayed in this lodge while visiting South Rim of Grand Canyon. Although more expensive suites in this lodge may be OK, the Sportsman and Wildlife rooms are terrible. Wildlife room has the toilet separated from bed only by a curtain, so you can feel the odour while you sleep (It's more like a Jail room). The space in this room is too less and is not enough for even a single person. Sportsman room is little spacious but only half the size of a standard hotel room. The themes in lodge rooms should be appreciated and the breakfast provided is wonderful, so not a bad place to spend one night but not more than that. Lodge staff is not coordinating in terms of reservations and cancellations.

“Handy for Grand Canyon Railway”

Stayed here 2 nights in January. Thick snow all around and very cold. Room comfortable but very cold and draughty and lacked any sort of coffee or tea making facilities. Not quite what we expected but owners were very friendly and it was OK for a couple of nights.

We serve coffee and tea every morning. Coffee/tea machine available for every room on request.
Every room has an independent heater, some have two. We are not sure the Glouchester England visitors are refering to the right B&B.
