In celebration of finishing my cancer treatment yesterday, my husband has made plans to take me to Quartsite, Arizona to visit the gem and mineral show I have always wanted to see. We made plans to stop in Wickenburg, Arizona to rest the night at the Motel Super 8 we had booked on priceline. When we informed the associate behind the desk we needed a room on the ground floor, due to me being so weak I could not make it up the stairs with my bag, we were informed we would not only have to pay more (26.00) for a room downstairs, but that we would also be charged the full amount for the room upstairs. Rather than purchase two rooms for the night I told my husband to just help me up the stairs since there is also no elevator in this motel.
Upon seeing us struggle up the stairs, Drew behind the counter audibly snickered at our progress. I was so incensed I came over to Drew to explain I really did have cancer and yesterday I finished my last round of radiation, to which he smirked. I then removed my wig to show him I am much more ill than I might look to which he laughed in my face. This unimaginably rude human being laughed at me having cancer, and had an attitude of “too bad for you.”
Quite easily the worst customer service experience of my 62 year long life.
