We stayed at The Grand for 2 nights and it was an all around decent place. Clean, Comfortable and Cozy. No frills...Good night's rest.

The lobby and surroundings are perfect for the Griswald type vacationers. :)

The restaurant was good, but overpriced compared to El Tovar—It was about the same price and El Tovar's food was better and had a view. Desserts were un-spectacular. Banjo player was cute and folksy.

Got an awesome deal on Priceline, so at $88 a night, we'd go again. The park prices were well into the $200 range.

In regards to your comments about the restaurant, we have our new menu rolling out in March and we have made great improvements based on the feedback from our guests. We are offering more of a variety with a wide range of price levels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our happy hour is still the best deal at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with 50% specials.

“They have an arcade!”

We picked this place for its proximity to the canyon (~10 minute drive) and the hunting lodge theme. When we showed up, we found that they had an arcade, which might be the perfect activity after having spent 8 hours in a car. Albeit expensive ($1 for basketball?), it basically made our stay.

The hunting lodge theme was actually very tastefully executed despite its inherent cheesiness. The breakfast options left a bit to be desired, but that's a small complaint. The Texaco gas station down the street had great local beer options, which is always a pleasant treat. Overall, if doing the canyon again we'd likely stay here for the proximity, the arcade, the theme, and the value.

Thanks for the feebdack and choosing to stay at the Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon. It was a pleasure serving you. I have followed with my team in regards to the breakfast comment and we are making adjustments. We are also in the final stages of creating our new menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We have featured some of our new menu items as daily specials to get feedback from our guests and so far the feedback has been excellent. We plan on rolling this new menu out in early March.

We appreciate your comments and your business and we continue to make strides to create a memorable Grand Canyon Experience for all who visit the Grand Hotel. Thanks for staying with us.

Check in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly. Hotel room was big, clean and comfortable. My son loved playing in the indoor pool. Internet was slow in the evening, but we had no problems using it the next morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Checked in early and visited the grand Canyon. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Liked that this is a pet friendly place. Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff was very nice. In all a great place to stay. Would recommend this place to our friends who travel to the Grand Canyon. Jim & Cindy from Iowa.

“Great Atmosphere, Great Location, Great Price!”

Loved this hotel, it was in a perfect location and had a great western atmosphere. We stayed in a room with two double beds and had our pick of the floor we wanted. The concierge was very helpful, we arrived at 4pm after driving from Las Vegas that day, and the concierge was able to organise a helicopter flight for us that same afternoon at a discounted price. We stayed only one night at the canyon but wish we had stayed more. The hotel is located only about 8 minutes from the South Rim of the canyon, so after our helicopter flight we were able to drive into the park to watch the sunset, a must see! We ate at the Yippee-i-o steak house, a great meal and reasonably priced.

I would definately reccommend this hotel to anyone! It was fantastic!
