“Good Choice for Grand Canyon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Functional and no frills, but clean and comfortable. Also nice and warm as we went in the winter !

Breakfast was rather hectic but fully adequate prior to a day at the Canyon.

Well placed for nearby eating options, petrol, groceries etc.

As mentioned we visited in the winter and were very pleased we did so. Weather was cold but sunny. Crowds were non existent and we enjoyed the quiet. We were also able to drive to viewing points which are closed to private cars at busier times. It really was like visiting the Grand Canyon in the 1950s.

Room Tip: Higher floors less car noise from car-parkl

“Good location, a few miles from the rim”

Accommodation is cheaper here than on the edge with a wide choice of cafes and diners. The hotel is very comfortable, with large rooms, and all the facilities one would want, king sized beds, coffee maker, iron/ironing board etc.

Breakfast is included and has hot and cold items.

“Good Option For Grand Canyon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We enjoyed the place. Spacious enough for us, 2 adults and 2 kids. We had dinner at the steakhouse across the street- enjoyed that. Close enough to the park , to be able to scoot back if you need to use the restroom, and be able to make it back to the park again. Restrooms were clean, beds were comfy- no problem . Good breakfast- had us filled for energy for the Canyon hikes each day. Spent 2 nights here. We were on the 2nd floor, and could see our vehicle parked outside our window. It snowed before our take off one morning, and the staff doing the laundry was kind enough to lend me his tool to clean the windshield of my car.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the parking lot at the back, to avoid noise of the passing cars at night

“Fantastic place to visit the Canyon”

It's an excellent place to explore the Canyon. It's just located a few miles away from the south gate, in a fantastic location.
We stayed in one of the mini suites. The facilities were very good for the money spent.

“Great place to explore the Canyon.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

This was an excellent choice for us travelling with 3 children. It is really close to the Canyon which saves extra travelling time.
The hotel rooms were spotless and spacious. We had 2 rooms for our group.
Breakfast was fabulous..the pancake machine a highlight for the kids.
The swimming pool was good but not very clean which put us all off swimming in it.
Fabulous having Wi-Fi although it was very slow. However you'd expect that being in such an isolated place.
We loved our 3 nights here and would recommend to others.
