“unforgettable vacation”

I can't say enough about our stay at Casa Ramon...this place is heaven. My family and I have been visiting Costa Rica for the past several years, and Casa Ramon, was by far, the best vacation that we've had. The accomodations were beautiful, the staff was so helpful, the views and sounds of the ocean and the wildlife (monkeys, sloths, toucans, etc.) on the grounds were amazing. We also hired a chef (Jhonnatan Amador) for the length of our stay...the best decision we made. The food was comparable to dining at a 5 star restaurant. If you are considering Casa Ramon for your next vacation don't waste your time looking at other rentals, trust me, you won't be disappointed. Hoping to return very soon...

“Absolutely Spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

I have to begin by explaining that due to my job I get the chance to stay in many different places. I have traveled around the world, and I have had the chance to be exposed to many different rental houses, hotels, etc. The first point that called my attention about Casa Ramon was the initial contact: the owners. Their grace and professionalism is refreshing. A product is as good or as bad as the service that surrounds it creating the experience, so the beginning was great.

I stayed at Casa Ramon for 4 nights with my family on an inspection visit. My job is not to commend, but rather to give a fair critique, however, in this case Casa Ramon takes home all the prizes.

1. Rooms: the class and taste they decorated the place with is superb. Every detail has been taken care of meticulously - the mattresses are top of the line (that is one true measure of quality from where I am standing), the quality of the linens, the layout of each sleeping area has been done in a thought out way. The bathrooms are not just regular bathrooms, they all have details that make it unique from each other and extremely pleasant spaces. L' Occitane toiletries summarize the essence of the experience.

2. Decor: rustic/modern with high quality pieces, you can see details of taste such as the hand picked glass lamps, beautiful wall paintings, ample sofas, with solid tables and plenty of couch relaxing areas. Nothing is torn, nothing is dirty, everything in mint condition.

3. Unit: the house is divided into three floors. The spaces are very well distributed in that they are inclusive, yet private enough so you can manage your stay according to how social you wish to be. The Honeymoon Casita: is a little casita of the side of the pool that is private with its own kitchen and a beautiful four poster bed overlooking the ocean.

But the most impressive thing of all was this: in a house of that size and caliber, where you can find 9 different wine glass types, and everything you could envision for your own kitchen (never mind a holiday kitchen!) has everything in perfectly working order. Many times, properties such as this will have many gadgets, and you get enthused until you try to use some and they are not in working order. Then the romance is gone...At Casa Ramon the maintenance crew does such a superb job, there isn't a SINGLE thing that does live in working order.

What a vacation! I hope I have the chance to revisit.

Room Tip: The Master Bedroom and the Honeymoon Room offer a fantastic view!

“The ULTIMATE Honeymoon Hideaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

We had the entire property to ourselves for an entire week during our honeymoon.

This really is the perfect place. Every ounce of the house is incredible. The rooms are gorgeous, the furniture is beautiful, and the view from the pool/lookout must be seen to be believed. I can't really describe how awesome it was to have this huge house all to ourselves (of course, they locked off the bedrooms we weren't using, but that's a non-issue).

Also, the wildife viewing from the pool area is AMAZING. We saw more action in the "backyard" than we did on any of our jungle tours. During the day, toucans, aracaris, lizards, monkeys, racoons, parakeets, and squirrels. At night, toads, geckos, and some pretty crazy insects (outside of course!).

A little rustic, a lot luxurious, and a mountain of romantic.

Lastly, phenomenal service. The staff lives in a house out back. They give you all the privacy you want, but are nearby if you need them. We felt quite safe.

“Fantastic Vacation Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2010

The Villa Casa Ramon could not have been more perfect for us and the nine people we invited for our special week. The luxurious accommodations, fine appointments and attention to detail were evident everywhere in the house and on the grounds. We and our guests were "blown away" by the Casa and the Staff.

The Staff was attentive to our every need, beyond what one would expect at a 5 Star hotel. Villa Manager Marlon and staff members Henry, Nidia, Jay, and message therapist Evelyn are to be commended for their service. Chef Patricia, was fabulous. Each meal seemed to be better than the last, if that were possible, and anything we wished for was prepared exceptionally well and pleased each of our varied tastes.

Our stay at Casa Ramon went well beyond what we had expected and in our foreign travels over the past 25+ years, we have come to expect quite a lot. We would and will recommend Casa Ramon and the Dominical region to anyone. We can hardly wait for our next Casa Ramon visit!

“What A Fabulous Place To Call Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

My wife and I along with two other couples stayed at Casa Ramon for a week this summer. My wife and I had been there about 7 or 8 years ago but it has gone through a dramatic renovation since then. Casa Ramon is incredible, lots of open space, great views of the Pacific, Toucans (you know, the fruitloop birds) in the trees every day, extremely comfortable beds and a great staff on hand to help with whatever arises. Both Manuel Antonio and Corcovado National Parks are pretty close, though Corcovado would be best as an over nighter. We all are looking forward to a return trip very soon.
