Don't let the name fool you, this is a brand new B&B on the location of Virgil Earp's former house. It is centrally located, downtown is only two blocks away. The rooms are large and spacious. We had the Virgil and Annie suite which featured a king size bed. It was a good sized room, there was still space for three chairs, a desk and a trunk. The shower was very roomy, we loved it. There were custom soaps and shampoos. Each room is quiet, the B&B was full but we did not hear any of the guests. Our room had its own set of environmental controls so we were just right. The room comes with a flat screen TV and satellite, since Tombstone is pretty dead past 7 pm. Our innkeepers were very personable and tried to ensure that we had a nice stay.
We gave this the highest value score because we had a coupon. The two negatives were that the new beds were a little too firm for us and that the breakfast was not gourmet, as advertised on the website, but ordinary (unlike say the soaps which were upscale). We had french toast one day and scrambled eggs the next. It was served buffet style but because there were no warmers, our food was lukewarm by the time we got it. The bed and breakfast issues keeps us from giving the extra dot but this is a very good choice for Tombstone. We would stay there again.
