I recently went to Tombstone and stayed at the Sagebrush Inn. I usually go to Tombstone with my family every year, and this is the nicest place we have stayed in town!

When we first pulled up to the place, it looked like an abandon building. Nobody was around and no cars were anywhere to be seen. It looked a little rough. We feared the worst ever since our experience last year in Tombstone, at the "Tombstone Motel." (you can read my review of that horrible place and the nasty owner under Tombstone Motel)

Anyway, when the lady that owned the place came out, she was very nice and accommodating. We were put in the Mustang Room, which is a room with 2 beds and a kitchenette. We were not sure what to expect, but when we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised! The room was a good size, and very clean. The kitchen was very nice. It had everything you would need in a kitchen. I felt like I was at home. It was especially nice since I was celebrating my bday that night and we could make things to eat and have a little party.

The bathroom was also very nice. A little small, but that was because it had a HUGE jacuzzi in it. It was great! The shower also worked very well and had good water pressure.

This place also had a good selection of videos you could bring back to your room and had a little "rec" center in the middle of the property that had a tv, tables, chairs, and a bunch of board games you could also take back to your room, which was really nice.

One thing I didn't like were these two giant animal heads on the wall. I'm not really into that, but I guess some people are into that sort of thing. They just scared me a little, but this place was still a great, relaxing place to stay, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to go to Tombstone.

At first driving up, you may be a tad nervous if it's your first visit to Tombstone. The people were very friendly though and we had expect a rustic stay. The overall Tombstone experience is about leaving modern convinces behind, not even a grocery store and everything's pretty much closed by 8pm. We stayed in a family suit. It's very charming!!! We just recommend stopping at a grocery store in Benson to stock your fridge!! It's not fancy, but if you want that rustic tombstone charm like we did, you'll love it. And after hours in the sun, a dip in the pool was great! We liked the location, it's very quiet but you only walk a block or so into the heart of everything. No need to drive around. We would stay here again.

An old-fashioned "motor hotel", originally built in the 1940s (but updated since then) -- simple, but comfortable. It has a variety of rooms of different sizes and amenities. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms -- just a single queen bed, but other rooms we peeked at were suites, with separate kitchens, two queen beds, and a fold-out couch. The room was clean, which was our most important requirement, and the price was relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other places nearby. It is located a couple of blocks off the main street where the shops and shows are, so that was convenient. The owner lives across the street and was easy to contact when she wasn't in the office, was very helpful with suggesting restaurants, and she has a basset hound that really, really likes to have it's belly rubbed.

Their claim to fame is the past (many years past) famous actors/acresses, but the place still needs a lot of help. No sheets were supplied for the couch bed that my granddaughter slept in and almost disappeared into. We got in late and no lights were left on so we could locate the room. We had a heck of a time locating the room due to no numbers on the doors facing out. We probably scared the other guests looking for our room. The room had 2 dead deer hanging on the walls that had been shot in the 40's but the room was reasonably clean. The price for the room was outrageous for what we received. $134.00 after taxes. The shower was in a huge jacuzzi tub and the shower head sprayed mist. My kids opted out of showering for the day. My son and his wife slept in one bed and he could barely stay on...on his side due to the slant of the bed. The breakfast at the outhouse was stale doughnuts and it was cold ----- no heat in that building. It definitely could use even more restoration. Noone was around for check-out at 8:00 a.m. I had to round them up.
