The hotels in Tempe seem to be about equal and all about average. The Quality Inn is not a bad hotel. I would not hesitate to stay here again if necessary. But I will not choose to stay here again if there are other choices. First thing I noticed on opening the door to my room was a 6"x6" hole in the wall where the door handle had been allowed to punch through. I can see the studs and insulation! It was dark when I entered, and the light switch was not in an obvious, convenient place. The decor is dated. The dresser is seriously nicked up. The desk is wobbly because the legs on it are loose. The bed is decent but slightly lumpy. Once in the past I left a different hotel because it was impossibly dreary. I stayed at this hotel all week because it's really quite livable. But I know of 4 or 5 better places within a couple of miles that I prefer over this one.
