I needed two rooms for my adult children so I looked for a good price. This was an example of you get what you pay for. The "non-smoking" rooms smelled like cigarette smoke even after a can of febreeze. The pullout bed, didn't. They want $5 for their breakfast, you're better off at the restaurant across the street. Avoid the dunkin donuts! I won't be going back here.
We stayed here during a pretty busy week in the Valley of the Sun. Room was clean but was very much in need of a remodel. Couch had torn fabric, bed spread had a cigarette hole, etc. Towels were paper thin and need to be replaced. Room was spacious and the hotel supplied packaged soap, toothpaste, and shampoo that was very nice. Lobby coffee was empty both mornings. No outlet near the desk which can be a problem if you have extended lap top work to do. Work out room was open to the lobby which is kind of strange. Had an issue with the amount paid for the room but it was only due to the high occupancy of the particular week.
I was looking for a place near Scottsdale and this one was reasonably priced, so I booked it. I was not disappointed. Lobby was nice. I don't usually stay in a suite, so I enjoyed the extra space. The wireless was really slow, and our room did not have a fridge, although it had a microwave. There seemed to be only one ice machine for the whole hotel, which is kind of crazy, as the hotel was full when I stayed there, and the ice was long gone.
Good location if you want to be in Tempe, Scottsdale, or near the airport. This is not a super deluxe place, but then, I did not pay super deluxe prices. I felt I got pretty good value for my dollar.
I was attending a two day conference and chose this hotel because is was only a mile and half away from the conference. Staff was nice, but they gave me a room that was already occupied. I had requested a nonsmoking room but the room I ended up getting was a smoker's room (complete with ashtrays). I decided to not make a big deal and stayed in the room (I had already gone down once to get a new room). The carpet was stained and dirty. The furniture was old, stained and frayed. The fridge and microwave were old. I didn't even use them because I honestly wondered if they worked. I had to iron clothes and there was an ironing board and iron, but the ironing board was broken and I could not read the settings on the iron. The bathroom was decent and the bed was comfortable. I only had to stay one night and was by myself (not with my family) so I put up with it (and the price was cheep). If I had needed to stay longer and/or had my family with me I would not have stayed in this hotel..
