“SAFTEY ISSUE, SMELLY,KEYS DONT WORK”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

The issues still persists to this day. Not trustworthy for families. Sketchy staff. Unprofessials. This is not a family friendly place! There are men who linger around due to the strip joint. They also stay at the hotel and bring in a prostitue to thier room. The pool is not marked with the right feet and it said 3-5ft. We went in and fought for our lives. We were in a pool of 7ft at least. We got out alive by God. I went to complain they said "we just bought this hotel, and didnt get a chance to measure the pool, also the hose vent is too strong so it pulls people down, another family had the same issue" um what!! The night guy who is about20 said he told me only because he was leaving the job for good. We were shocked. The rooms are filthy and we asked to see other options so they showed us 5 and 4 were anbarably stinky/dingy. The locks are broken and I feared for our safety. The 2ndfloor pathway is dark no lights. A handy man is also the manager , the maintance dude, the pool dude and the check in dude, so it took 4hs for our paid fridge. I would of had to wait for a refund to move to a new hotel so I had to stay the remainder of my days.Pros: Close restaurants, mall
Good for men who want to visit the strip joint and stay the night.

Room Tip: Rooms by lobby door cleaner out of the six shown to us.

“BED BUGS ALERT!!!! MUST READ!!!!”

OMG! My husband and I stayed at this Ramada mainly for the price but customers BEWARE! Read the reviews but it is PERTINENT that we add our room had bed bugs....we were itching and scratching like hell and when we returned home (to the east coast) these nasty bugs followed us to our residents (either by luggage or clothing) and now we are having to scrub and clean all our clothes in HOT water. PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! WE ARE NOT LYING AND IF YOU LIKE I CAN SEND PICTURE OF MY BUG BITES TO PROVE IT. Luckily for me I had no allergic reaction HOWEVER THE ITCHING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS. We had our 11 month old with us and THANK GOD he was not bitten. THIS PLACE IS DIRTY! READ THE REVIEWS AND TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. PLEASE!!!!!!! In addition to all this horror the breakfast bar was decent but the eggs tasted like rubber so I would highly suggest going to the Waffle House right in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Bed Bug Alert

The Staff here at the Ramada would like to offer an apology for your unpleasant stay with us and want to stress that the entire staff takes great pride in providing each of our guests with excellent guest service and a safe and cleanly environment. We would like to state that we do not have any issues of bed bugs or any other type of insect infestation here at our property. Due to the Arizona climate, we have an exterminator scheduled to have thorough services completed in each room every month in an effort to prevent any situation like this from happening. We would like to assure all future guests that would like to stay with us that any potential issue that poses an uncomfortable setting will immediately be resolved. Once again, thank you for your response, as we appreciate your feedback and will continue to learn from them and take all the measures necessary to resolve them.

“The hotel was awful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

I just returned from a trip to Tempe. I reserved 2 nights at the Ramada Inn on Baseline. What a mistake. I should have taken a tip when I pulled into the driveway and saw the "Gentlemans" club in front of the Ramada. They share a parking lot. This was at 1PM and I hurriedly went to lunch with my relatives, planning on returning later.

So I come back to the motel at midnight, I see men hanging around on the balcony. That did not give me a secure feeling. Once in the motel, the toilet barely flushed, the shower was barely hanging on to the wall. I had room 326. no wi-fi. They didn't even replace the towels I used the first night. So the second night, I had one towel and no washcloths!

I don't believe they have soft water. There are maybe 10 channels on the TV, with no guide.

The next night, which I thought would be my last night in Tempe was worse. I arrive at my room around 9:30 PM. Again men on the balcony. I put in my key/card and the door will not open. I go down 2 flights to the lobby and as my shoulder hit the door I realize it is locked. This is not a good sign.

I told the young woman at the window that my keys didn't work. She gave me 2 new ones. I walked 2 flights; those keys didn't work. I went down stairs and told her I would like a repair person or management to fix this. She gave me a white card and told me to insert it into the lock to clean it and then the key would work.

Only in an emergency would she get help for me. She has to call someone in to help me. I looked at her like she was crazy. This is an emergency. I can't get into my paid for room. My things are locked in side.

Subsequently the white card did not work. I went down again for the 3rd time and told the young woman, you need to get someone down here now. She said someone would be there in a few minutes, go up to my room and wait for him. 10 minutes later, a man arrives. He was waiting at 318 for me. This idiot or passive aggressive clerk gave him the wrong room number.

He said one key was totally not working and he got the other key to work. He was efficient and nice.

The next day, Monday I called the Chamber of Commerce for recommendations for a hotel. They told me the inn next door, /Phoenix airport had good reviews. I said what does the Ramada have? not good she said.

After looking at the beautiful room at the hotel Tempe- the difference is night and day- I stayed there Monday night. Clean, well decorated, new.

I am angry that I paid $67 for a dump when I paid $65 for a room at the hotel next door. See my review to come on the hotel Tempe Phoenix Airport on Baseline.

Room Tip: Go next door the a quality motel.

“old and worn out. dirty.”

This property was dirty. The sheets and towels were worn out and had holes in them. The carpet was dirty and worn out. I moved the bed forward to plug something into an outlet and was repulsed by the filth. The beds had not been vacuumed under in a long time. I even found a broken beer bottle under there.
They ran out of food at the breakfast an hour before it ended.
DON'T STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. Way over priced for what you get.

“Terrible experiance, ....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

The hotel is in bad condition.
Staff is very unfriendly.
They do even not know the WiFi password! I had to figure it out by myself using parts of the various trys offered.
Ice machines not working in ground floor - looks like it does not work since years according to the very dirty plate.
The one in the third floor is not working either. The one in the second floor is partly dismanteled but works.
The pool is not very nice, but is used by the kids of the employees until late night with lots of noice.
Room is not well cleaned.
Breakfast offered is not good at all. Even fresh prepared eggs are cold and taste bad.
The front desk lady has to keep track of check in, out and the breakfast. Perhaps that is why she was very unfriendly?!
This is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed in for holiday (including east India!).
Not a recommendation at all!
