Aloft is a division of "W" Hotels. The rooms are different from other hotel rooms. The beds are platform, so some people may find them a little "stiff". There is a giant flatscreen TV mounted on the wall directly in front of the bed(s) - only downside is that the only chair is the desk chair, and you can't turn the TV so you are forced to sit in bed and watch TV. The only place to sit is a bench that runs the length of the space along the wall under the TV and connects a desk on one side and another "counter" on the other. I love the large tile shower (no tubs) and the mirror pull door that closes off the toilet and shower. There is not a typical closet, but an area in the bathroom that holds 8 pieces of clothing with "curtains" that you pull to close. This was not my first stay at an Aloft, so I knew what to expect and was okay with it. I would not recommend this hotel for an extended stay due to the limited "closet space" and I would not recommend it for a family with kids. I definitely would recommend it for singles or a young couple at this is the brand it is geared towards. The check-in area tends to get very loud especially at night and on the weekends. The pool is very small, and it was not clean (debris in it) while I was there so I did not get to use it. They have a very nice workout area though. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but you can get light snacks and there is a Starbucks across the street as well as an In and Out Burger restaurant.
