I double checked the address and yes, we are all reviewing the same place.
I stayed at the Sheraton Four Points 2 different bookend nights before heading to and returning from a trip to the Grand Canyon. Both of my rooms appeared to be newly remodeled – very clean, updated décor, fresh carpet, kind of a “high style” bathroom with a huge barn door style door that slid sideways to open and close.
Perhaps some of the other reviewers stayed in rooms that have not yet been remodeled.
I thought the room was great – but some might not like the sliding bathroom door. My first room only had a shower (fine with me). My second room had a tub with shower.
I had trouble with the air conditioning – when I turned up the temperature the heat came on. It was 100 plus degrees outside and I did not need heat. I called the front desk and the maintenance man promptly came up and explained that the digital thermometer is really sensitive –I should just adjust it a degree or 2 at a time. I’ll keep that in mind for future stays at hotels with this type of control.
The lobby of the hotel was nice, fresh, clean.
Breakfast was served in a little area in the lobby. They had a good buffet with the option to order eggs, French toast, and pancakes. The buffet had fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, etc…plenty of options. I ordered the French toast both mornings!
With a lot of people eating at the same time, the servers had to scramble to keep up with drink orders and special requests – but I can understand that. It would see them could put out some orange juice so we could help ourselves – but I did notice space was tight. The servers were very accommodating when several of us asked them to fill our water bottles in preparation for a long bus ride.
Yes, the halls are really long; the hotel is bigger than what I would have expected from outside. I used the hotel’s free shuttle to and from the airport and have no complaints about it.
The first weekend I was there, the hotel was full of folks coming to see a college football game – the hotel is next to the campus. My room was not ready on time, but it wasn’t really that much of an inconvenience to me. The staff gave us a free bottle of cold water. Another bottle of water - complimentary - was in the room.
I would stay here again. I give it a 5 because I liked the spacious, clean rooms, the food was good, I felt safe.
Room Tip: You might ask if all of the rooms have been remodeled based on other reviews here.
